Terrible experience at this location. The service and the food were horrible. I let the server know about my allergies which were not taken seriously. My food came out with items I was allergic to and I had to send it back. I was very uncomfortable eating here afterward knowing they didn’t take care the first time around. I’m pregnant and could have been seriously ill had I not been so vigilant. The server did not care at all about her mistake, never apologized and even tried to charge us twice for the meal I sent back. My mother’s food had a small rock in it and my sister said her salad tasted stale. After we were served the food, we had to flag someone down to explain our concerns because our regular server never came to check on us. The restaurant wasn't busy so there was no excuse for her negligence. We waited a long while before someone came to clear our table and hand us the check. The server then hovered over us as we were paying which made it very awkward. We were very happy to leave.
Food was decent but wanted to commend the service. There were only two servers around 1130am so we sat on the bar area. Really good service from the bar guy (sorry forgot to get his name) very attentive and quick to serve the food and drinks.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Applebee's, and the highlight of the experience was Kay, our server. From the moment we sat down, Kay made us feel incredibly welcome with a warm and friendly demeanor. Their attention to detail was impressive—whether it was making sure our drinks were always refilled or checking in at just the right moments without being intrusive, Kay truly elevated our dining experience.
Not only was Kay efficient and professional, but they also went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They had excellent menu knowledge, offering great recommendations based on our preferences, and handled special requests with ease. It’s rare to find someone who combines such genuine care with top-notch service, and Kay did just that.
If you're visiting Applebee's, be sure to ask for Kay—you won’t be disappointed. They truly embody the best of what customer service should be!
Food chain restaurant located inside the Jersey Gardens mall, in Elizabeth. We've tried to go there before on a Saturday, but there was a line - went again on a Friday and we've been promptly seated. Small variety of plates but will probably please most clients. We've had a sirloin and chicken and shrimp past - both good enough. Sharon, the waitress, was so lovely with us. Decent food, for a nice price.
Went in for a drink and a quick bite before we began our shopping. Drinks were fine but we were served RAW chicken. Can’t even say the cooks were too busy to notice because we were one of 4 groups in the whole restaurant. Our bartender took it off the bill without a word and no management offered any type of apology or explanation. We were so upset we went straight home instead of shopping in the mall. Will not ever be returning and will make sure nobody I care about ever does as well. So disappointed in the service.

Easy to find. No wait to be seated. Greeted upon entering. Took awhile for waiter to come back after seating us.
We had my favorite Applebee’s meal, bourbon street chicken and shrimp - added Parmesan cheese. Always good and hot as it comes on a skillet. This meal was one of the 2 for $32 specials. Well worth the value.
After ordering, food came pretty fast.

I haven’t been to an Applebee’s in many years. Honestly, it was whatever. The food was way too salty. Overall, disappointing.
The food was good. I can’t complain and the server was OK but just need to be careful when they charge you. They will charge you your total amount and a couple of days later they will charge you an additional tip so they will charge you twice on the tip. Sometimes you will not check your bank account and you will not know so check your bank account. I guess they like to do this.
