It’s been a while since I visited an Applebee’s and I now remember why. The hostess didn’t acknowledge anyone and seemed confused. I sat at my table for 10 minutes before being acknowledged by the bartender who was working tables across the dining room, but doing her best to keep up. The food was slow, but tasty.
The biggest issue was the manager on duty. She was surfing on her phone and didn’t do anything to help her staff provide an exceptional experience for the guests. Never saw her buss a table, run food or take a drink order, nothing. The Togo guy could have picked up a table or two as he wasn’t at all busy. All around a mediocre experience.
I really like this Applebees they make the best Bahama Mammas! But it’s had its troubles since the pandemic and I’ve witnessed how they’ve comeback. Food was great! Had to look for our server a few times but other than that awesome as always.
Was promptly greeted and seated. Waited 15 minutes without being served around 1:30 pm. Got up to leave and a waitress came over and I advised her we were leaving and she said "happy new year and Merry Christmas as we left. No apologies just the snide remark. My wife have been stopping here about once a month. Never again. Might want to see what service recovery is about.

The restaurant is much cleaner and we were greeted by a super enthusiastic server. Great improvement!
The bartender was working a double and there was lots of chatter about the ones who called off for New Years Eve. This crew was ready for a party and were the only ones open in our area.
Hands down, best Applebee's experience ever. Due to the last few times I've been to my local AB I was ready to give them up. This location is a prime example of what all Applebee's should strive to be. It was decorated super cute for St. Patty's. I was a party of 1 and seated immediately by the manager. The waitress, Arianna, promptly showed up to take my order. She was super attentive and checked on me several times, but never a bother. They were featuring 2 special beverages. I went for the Tipsy Leprechaun and it didn't disappoint. Drink was super cute, had a great flavor and I could taste the alcohol!! For me this is a huge plus. While in the restroom, she brought a water to my table. Bathrooms were in good shape and stocked with tp and paper towels, floors could have used a sweeping but it was lunchtime so no complaints here. Once the food arrived my satisfaction increased. The food was fully cooked, exactly as I ordered, and arrived hot & perfectly seasoned. Will definitely be returning to THIS location next time I want Applebee's - it's worth the 1+ hour drive. Praise to the management and staff; keep doin what you're doin!

I ordered the ribs they only had sauce on the backside and the meat was very dry. The manager said she couldn't give me a refund. This place used to be a nice place to eat im Charlottesville but it has gone downhill. The servers and management could use some training. The cook should be ashamed sending out the rib dish. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere that you can get what you should for your money.
Bartenders make more tips if they are friendly. And lve never seen a bartender use a measuring cup to pour my wine. Very unprofessional. But I'm sure that is what the management wants her to do. Not blaming her. But have some fun in your job daring!! You will meet some really nice people! Young and inexperienced.
