Best WLM Reviews
The time of our visit the restaurant was less than 50% full. So it was not extremely busy. The first problem was the seating, we were given a table that was separated from another bigger party by only a very thin divider. It was so close that it was like being seated at the same table with strangers. Very uncomfortable. We ordered drinks and appetizers that arrived in a reasonable time, we ordered our meals. The wait for the entrees was very long so we ran out of drinks which no one checked on for refills. Drink refills came long after the main meal arrived so apparently the bar was also very slow.
The steak was warm but undercooked. The meat in the nachos was extremely greasy, apparently not drained after cooking. However, in spite of that, the dish was still good if not somewhat undersized for two adults.
Lots of parking. Clean and neat dining room. What little interaction we had with the server was cordial and professional.
Ordered some takeout from this location. I ordered the Southwest Chicken Bowl with extra dressing. My wife ordered a few dishes as well. This Applebees is a 25 min drive from my house, so a 1 hour round trip with going into the restaurant, paying, collecting my order. I get home to eat my dish. No chicken in my Southwest Chicken Bowl. Not a little chicken, but NO chicken. And no extra dressing even though I paid for it, not that it mattered. I basically got a meatless salad. Didn’t want to spend another 1 hour of my time to return my incomplete dish. Ironically since I ordered over the internet, Applebees sent me an email asking me about my experience. The head manager responded to me via email. Said they would send me a card for a free Southwest Chicken Bowl. Doubt I will bother redeeming it (I haven’t received the card yet anyway). This service is what I have unfortunately come to expect from McDonalds or Burger King. It wasn’t so much the money I spent (over $70), it was the waste of time. Just wanted to have a rare relaxing Saturday night with my wife.
Good food here. Stopped by here for some dinner tonight it's the weekend so it was packed. Only a 30 minute wait, not bad at all. Some restaurants have an hour wait or longer. The hostess took our name and number and we waited in our vehicle until they contact us when our table is ready. From the exterior the building has been kept up with. Inside the building they keep their area nice and neat. As we walked in our waitress greeted us with a smile and lead the way. The mask policy is still in effect so you need to wear your mask until seated. Our waitress took our drink order also we tried 2 of their appetizers... Fried onion rings , chips with spinach dip.
The appetizers came out within 10 mins and turned out great.
For our main meal I chose their chicken fajitas wraps, the wife went with their baby back ribs, my son tried their crispy shrimp with a side of fries.
The meals came out promptly. As we were dining the music was playing in the background , nice atmosphere, good food. Come check out this restaurant if you are in the area maybe they will have something on the menu for you ????
Have a wonderful day
Food was decent. Server was polite. This Applebee's seems a bit better than South Portland. South Portland doesn't get it. They swapped out their only IPA for a Halloween ale. Obviously the manager is not a beer drinker otherwise he/she would realize that you can't have a bar in Maine without an IPA on draft. Hello McFly! The only complaint I have about the Auburn Applebee's was that our food took a very long time.
We went to celebrate my birthday.
Nice staff, good food, good vibes, clean area.
My Ribeye cook just right I want (medium rare) and server even let me check that what I like before she leave that so nice of them.
March 31st 2024 10pm. I walked in and it looked not crowded or anything. Although they were not busy, and staffs were lingering around freely, I stood at the front for 9 minutes before any of them addresses me. The first word coming out of the waitress staff mouth is "are you picking up an order for somebody?"; implying, I don't have the means to be a patron or I must be an food delivery driver. Then I made it clear to her that I am there to dine in. She decided to take me on a walking tour around the place and have me sit on a 4 to 6 people table in the back. I tried to get her attention asking her "please, I want to sit at the bar". She walked away from me as if she is deaf. I made it clear to her that I lost interest and changed my mind about being there. And I immediately walked out. Overall summary, if the waitress is not attentive to me as a patron, then I don't feel like they deserve my money. Attention is everything. Had a sat there, chances are my food order will probably come after a long time and lost appetite and most likely come to me not cooked/put together correctly. I hate to tip bad service. I pay attention to everything. If you're not welcoming from the getgo, the rest of your service is trash. I might not be the highest weed grade in the dispensary but as a blue collar business owner, I know a thing or two about business services. And the service right here makes the establishment look low. Glad I didn't even get to order anything. Again if your welcoming attitude is unwelcoming, someone with discernment knows when a spade is a spade. This type of service will chase patrons away without a return. I don't know who put them in uniform but Lord have mercy. It illustrates no formal training or not happy about working to begin with or the employee carrying problems from elsewhere and bringing it to work. Whatever it is, the place needs an overhaul.
We don't go very often as we live an hour away but we go on Monday or Tuesday as the bartender/hostess/waitress, Jen is an absolute delight!! She is so friendly and always has the best smile!! Definitely makes us feel welcomed!
Good food and decent service. I love me some spinach dip. Definitely took longer than I expected but they were busy on a Friday night. The fries are amazing.
