Stopped in on my way back to Dallas for a quick bite around 2:30pm. There is a great lunch menu deal for $8.99 and half price appetizers on the bar menu so I got my money's worth. The burger and fries was good especially with the fresh jalapeños on the side and I got the spinach artichoke dip which also came with some salsa (bonus). Got a small brownie with ice cream for $1 extra (double bonus). The bartender Susie was great and very personable and attentive. I'm glad that Applebee's has this lunch menu deal cause it beats expensive fast food these days.
Summary:
Will definitely come back here again. Excellent value, and it was a fun time with great service and good food. See extended review below.
Atmosphere:
Felt lively and engaging upon entrance. Light-medium busy Tuesday @ 7. Good music, lots of local decor. Large variety of sport matches showing around the restaurant. Layout is a central bar peninsula surrounded by tables and booths.
Service:
Hostess took a couple minutes but was pleasant and quick. Server took a few minutes as well. Brought me a water right off the bat. Server was very pleasant, smiling in a welcoming way and seemed engaged. She recommended the Mushroom Swiss burger and I ordered that. Took around 10 minutes to come out. Food arrived while I was in the restroom, but the server checked on me very shortly after my return.
Restrooms:
Restrooms had been freshly painted, and seemed well kept. The sink could have used a wipedown, but that's really a nitpick. Certainly better than lots of other restrooms I've seen before.
Menu:
Lots of different specials running to make a trip out affordable. Lots of variety in menu options. Some specialty cocktails but the big draw is clearly towards low prices on regular stuff.
Food:
Soda was good in strength and carbonation. The Mushroom Swiss burger ($15) came with fries, both of which were plated well. The burger was on the good side of greasy, the mushrooms were cooked well, and there was lots of Swiss. Patty was light on seasoning but ketchup, salt and pepper were provided on the table. Fries were well seasoned and crispy. I also ordered the brownie bite (2.50) for dessert, which was delicious but small, so reasonable for what i paid.
Absolutely enjoyed our Lunch today! Susie took GREAT care of us as she still had the bar to run. She was very attentive, gave great recommendations, and her check back time was ON POINT! The Salmon was incredible. So fresh and cooked to perfection. We ordered the Salmon with garlicky green beans and broccoli. Thank you Susie for a great experience at this Applebees. Also thank you to the Management team because whatever they are doing at this location is WORKING!
I came here and the bartender, Susie was amazing. She was so sweet and attentive. And we started Mulan. Jennifer, the manager, came and made sure our food and experience was top notch. I definitely recommend coming here for a nice meal and great deals on beer.
Sat for 10 minutes waiting on someone to take our drink order, ordered our food at the same time as the drinks. Another 10 minutes to get our drinks (tea and DP). Another 30 minutes and they brought my husband's food but not mine. Waited another 10 minutes, still no food. Asked the hostess to send manager. Hostess came back and said our server would be right over. No server. Finally I got up and walked out. Husband waited to speak with manager. Needless to say neither of us ate and will NEVER go back. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
My spouse and a friend went to pick up my check and there was nobody at the front. She had to look for someone to ask to be helped. She waited up to 30 minutes just for it to be brought out when they weren’t even busy. The bar attendant walked outside to smoke instead of asking if she needed help. while i worked there they served expired (4 day old food) and 10 day old salsa with fungus and i ended up getting sick. Plus they don’t even hire a dishwasher and expect other positions to make up for it.
Had a great experience with my sister late Friday night when we went, the food was pretty good. I got the Chicken Quesadilla salad with rice added on, my sister got the classic combo. I recommend the spinach dip it was bomb, I really liked the quesadilla salad, it had a cheese quesadilla too. Just wish it was a larger portion! The service was great our waitress was sweet and attentive, it took a little while to get our food but it was delicious. Late night Applebees runs are always a hit!
Ok restaurant. We had a good waiter. Friendly but a bit slow, he took a while to pick up our bill. My friend meal was dry. My meal wasn't very good. Overall a ok restaurant. The sign outside is not working and probably needs a light repair. Most likely won't return here.
