My husband and I decided to finally use a gift card we got from Christmas. We haven’t been to Applebees in years and now I remember why. Horrible experience! Ordered food for pickup that I went and got myself. Food was gross. Tiny portions missing item’s. Manager wasn’t even apologetic when I asked for the missing items. Had to stand there a while to get our side items and had to ask for a bag when the worker handed them to me. Then when I got home realized more was missing. Watery continents. The chicken was tough, dry, and cold. The appetizers were cold. The fact I came out of pocket $10 of which $8 of it was a tip! That is more than what this food is worth! We will NEVER be back and I will let people know how bad it is. Stay away from the Applebees across from the Dayton Mall!
Great Service! The shrimp bowl and holiday drink were fantastic. They have new menu items and still have the old favorites, the drink menu is deliciously festive and reasonably priced! Eatin’ good in the Neighborhood ????
Looking for a great place to enjoy a meal with our Service dog in training, we were welcomed upon entry and seated, and drinks ordered and served all within 5 minutes of arrival, the staff was more than happy to see the SDIT and asked to pet which was granted! Overall great experience for the SDIT and great service from the staff.
The place looks great, with average apple bee decor and look. The staff was friendly and helpful so great on them. Food took a little longer than I expected for the food to come out. Took as long as for you to start thinking "Man where is the food" and then right then it showed up. We got cheese sticks appetizer and Mom got the 6 Oz steak with macaroni and cheese and mash potatoes and I got the chicken cheese and bacon with mash potatoes and fries. My food was good except for the fries. Her steak was supposed to come out medium well but came out well done which is an easy enough mistake. The whole order came up to 28$ plus some change which wasn't that bad. I would say, solid performance. Just afew small detail off
Wow.. just wow. Walked in to a mostly empty restaurant with a party of six. The hostess was wearing some kind of hoodie from a metal workshop had she not greeted us I would have thought she was a customer. Besides that we had a waitress that I don't think is fit for the job. Many mistakes although she was nice. Nice only gets you so far though.
After we ordered and waited a while we were informed that they are out of the sauce I had ordered for my wings. So I went with something else. They must have had a lot of honey BBQ cause they poured the whole bottle out on my wings. Then after we all except one got our food the wait staff informed one of my party members that they were out of the sauce for her meal as well so asked if they could just serve it plain. Our party member didn't want to wait any longer so they just agreed.
Inform your guests of outages before letting them wait so if they choose to make a change they can.
Ordered a side of fries with my wings and never got those. I thought of mentioning it but after trying one of my wifes fries and finding out they serve them cold I decided not to. They did try to charge me for them however. To top it all off the celery plated with my food still had dirt on them. Won't be back, forget about it. If you are thinking of eating here just move on. Not worth it. There is so much more I could add to this but you get it. Disaster.
Nicole was an amazing server. She was very friendly and quick with whatever we needed. She made it a very inviting experience, always coming to check in and make sure we enjoyed everything. Highly recommend asking for her when you go!
During veterans day part of their offer for veterans included a 5 dollar off a meal card. Unfortunately, this does not count towards any of their meal deals. The card clearly states "not valid with any other offers, coupons or discounts.". It does NOT specify that it is not valid for meal deals. Just an FYI for anyone else who would expect a multi-million dollar company to honor it's word, especially when it comes to veterans.
I had not been to Applebees in quite some time. Maybe two years. Went here Saturday night 11/23/24 because my mom picked it. Ordered the grilled chicken and it was gross. It was flat with a weird white color. Texture was rubbery. Mashed potatoes were cold so they plated those first and just let them sit because they were a different temperature than the rest of my food. Started to feel queasy after dinner. 24 hours later and I've got stomach cramps which is what prompted me to write this. The service was soooooo slow. The waitress was new and I felt bad for her because I don't think she was properly trained. It seemed like they just threw her in to the job and it wouldn't have been so bad except she kept saying she was new and kept apologizing. Pointing it out over-and-over again wasn't helping. The restaurant seems tired. Looks exactly like it did 10 years ago but older and greasier. I would rather pay $10 more for my entree and go to Cooper's Hawk. Or Wendy's would be a better choice. Won't go back.
