Staff was friendly, but they were out of soda, lemonade, pineapple (for cocktails), cocktail sauce, hamburger buns, and many other things. The steak and the burger were both dry and overcooked. I requested extra cheese on the salad but got extra dressing instead. The long island iced tea mucho drink was good. The wait to be seated was fine, but the wait for the food was too long. Overall, given the price, will probably not be returning. Would recommend Texas Roadhouse instead despite the wait, similar price for better food.
Made a quick lunch stop while in Orangeburg, SC. Food and service was good. We got the Asian chili wings and Chicken w/broccoli Alfredo. Both were good. Quick meal for a fair price.
My experience at Applebees was a ten out of ten. The atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful My server Nya was polite and provided great service. Appetizer was hot, and my entree was perfect. I will definitely be coming back and recommending my friends and family.
We were here Sat 9-13-24 at around 830pm This was so bad, I thought it was a joke. As we walked in everything seemed normal, my wife noticed right away that all tables had paper cups on the tables. After a min or 2 we were "greeted" by the hostess. Not a how are you or anything welcoming, just how many. We said 4 and she grabbed menus and walked off...said nothing! After she went to the table and stopped, we followed. She left. The table behind us was in a very heated argument with the waitress and the manager, to the point we thought they were gonna fight. Our waitress came by and told us to look at the menu, and she'd be right back. As we started to give her our order, she kept interrupting and saying that they were out of what we were ordering. They were out of kids pizzas.They had the yogurt, but not the strawberries, they didn't have the 8oz sirloins for the bourbon street steak. As we were ordering everything, I asked the waitress if she wanted to write everything down and she said, nope, she memorized it... When I asked her to repeat our order, she missed three things so I corrected her. My oldest daughter asked to have a strawberry smoothie, and we were told that they have them, but she couldn't have one, because the bartender refuses to work the blender!..She doesn't like using and cleaning it, so they tell people that they can't order blended drinks. My wife and I then put our drink orders in and the waitress left. She then came back 5 minutes later to ask how I wanted my steak done, for the third time. At this moment, we still haven't been served waters and still have no silverware or napkins at our table. The waitress returned another 3/4 minutes and said that they didn't carry the beer that my wife had ordered. It was the first beer on the menu, she said oh, we must be out of that. My wife changed her beer. After a few minutes, we canceled everything and left. After all the corrections, we didn't have confidence that our meal would be correct. To top it off we couldn't find our waitress so we told the hostess, she yelled back and said, cancel that order, you have another table leaving????
Di did a great job as a server but I guess they were short staffed. It took a while to get our meals. We did have a party of 9 so maybe that was a factor. But every dish was delicious. We were visiting from out of town but will remember this restaurant when we visit again in Feb. 2024. I was surprisingly delighted since the Applebee's closed in our area years ago. They still make those delicious wonton tacos! And clean bathroom & sanitizer available
This restaurant is a decent place to find, but they could use some new management. The workers were sitting at the bar, eating and drinking. I couldn't tell who was on duty and who was not. $1 margaritas had the restaurant packed. There really was no time for workers to sit around. A lady dressed in street clothes appeared to be the manager. She was sitting with the others workers eating. The service was bad, but it was as good as it could have been with more attention paid to the customers.
I order the fried oriental salad to go. When I arrived home the food was missing many items and when I tried to call them there was no answer. This is ridiculous!! A salad is an easy meal to make and does not take much. I wish service was better and food can be made correct!!!!
Service was unusually slow as far as ordering our food, but the staff was pleasant and my quesadilla salad was delicious ????
