Restaurant appeared clean & well-kept. Upon entering, our host was a young man that sat us down at a table that needed to be clean instead of letting us sit at the tables all around it that was already clean. Our waitress was friendly & fast. It did not take long for our appetizers to come out with our entrées being delivered right after. Our food tasted great, my chicken & shrimp with mashed potatoes, & double steamed broccoli was delicious. As I was only passing through while traveling, this Applebee's was exceptional from the moment we sat down until the moment we left.
7 of us walked in (2 adults, 5 kids ages 3 to 15) and there was a family of 4 ahead of us who were seated immediately. We were told there would be a 5 to 10 minute wait. Others walked in after us, a single man and a group of 5. Both were seated ahead of us. When asked why we were not seated they said a table of 5 is different than a table of 7. We explained we had 2 babies who can use high chairs and squeeze together. We could sit in a booth. They would not let us sit in a booth.
We saw a very large section of restaurant that was available but unused. I understand closing part of the restaurant but when you have to keep 7 people from being seated instead of opening up one large booth....bad management. We were planning on ordering about $125 of food at least. We were treated so rude we walked out.
I ordered two bourbon mushroom burgers to go. I tried to order them medium rare they said they only had medium or well done I should have known right there that things are going to go wonky. When I got them home the bun on the inside was completely black from The griddle the burger was burnt on the outside and medium rare on the inside but there was gristle all over it. My partner and I could not eat one complete bite out of it I will never go there again. I suggest you check your burgers before you leave or before you bite into them and look at the bun and look at the Burger.
Why did they want to sit us at a table that had the water bucket sitting on it to clean the table?
And when I pointed it out she just moved it to the floor.
We literally sat ourselves at the booth since they had plenty of space available.
During a recent visit to town, I was told that I couldn’t purchase alcoholic beverages because I didn’t have a physical ID, even though I presented my LA Wallet ID. Ms. Courtney B also neglected to refill our drinks or properly attend to my family’s needs. She even mentioned that if someone else at our table ordered an alcoholic beverage, she was allowed to take away our drinks. I found this unacceptable and will not be returning. The audacity!
I set at the bar on a Friday evening at about 4:30 PM very few people in the restaurant. I got great service at the bar. The salmon was good but not great, It was a bit on the dry side. Broccoli broccoli and mashed potatoes were excellent.
It’s always a great time at Applebees when Morgan or rosslynn is there, they are so nice and always know how to start a conversation! I appreciate both of them ????
The waitress was very nice and caring. Plus she was training someone to be a good worker like herself. I'll. R coming back
