Overall, the dinner experience was good, and the food and table service met expectations. However, I was disappointed with the reception staff when we requested a corner table to celebrate our son’s birthday in peace. Though initially they said no corner seats available, but when we pointed a visibly available seat, they let us to sit there but, I witnessed them sharing comments about the request with other servers, which felt inappropriate. This detracted from an otherwise pleasant visit. Improving professionalism at the reception would make the dining experience much better.
Had difficulty locating the restaurant as every single bit of exterior lighting, including signage, was not illuminated.tje place looked like it was closed or out of business. Before we entered, we were warned by exiting customers of their bad experience with the staff. We were seated promptly as there were only about 4 tables occupied. Facility felt worn out and dingy. Service was decidedly poor and food arrived after a long wait. Our food order was not completely fulfilled, and requests for refills and condiments were not addressed while the staff appeared to be more concerned with their phones. It simply felt like nobody wanted to be there. The complete lack of exterior lighting is definitely a potential safety issue. I didn't personally have a problem with the music selection, but the volume was a bit of a hindrance to conversation. To be fair, the food we were served was actually much better than expected and definitely the best we've had at any Applebee's, but we won't be returning as the overall experience was negative.
Service was meh, but that new chicken sandwich ya'll got? Toss it in the dumpster. Chili's $10 chicken sammich has you beat by a country mile. That tasteless glorified chicken nugget didn't even come close to looking like the pictures in your menu, either!
Decent food and drinks for a very decent price. We had to wait, though, to be sitting while it was slow. It seems like they are short with staff.
What can you say about Applebee's. It's like the wish.com version of Chilli's. The food is cheap, has a pretty obvious "this was just microwaved and sat under a heat lamp" taste, but it's still decently edible. The wings are cheap; they're not good, but when they're so cheap, you just get that extra cup of ranch dressing and eat it anyway. The alcoholic drinks are pretty strong. The staff is always great, but that's possibly a direct result of them not having enough customers to keep them busy, so you're guaranteed to get prompt service.
The place was really quiet when I entered and I was seated immediately. My server was quick to come over and take my drinks and eventually my meal order. The food came out within 5 minutes of placing the order. Now, I wouldn't normally complain, but it had me wondering what was freshly prepared, if anything. I ordered the grilled chicken, broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were luke warm, the broccoli was a tab bit warmer, and the chicken was good. I could have waited a couple of minutes for really hot food. I was offered dessert 5 minutes after starting to eat my meal. I had to go back to the menu and select something. Dessert came out as soon as I finished with the check. I understand efficiency, but I felt a bit rushed. I was in and out in what felt like 20 minutes. I ate but didn't get to enjoy my dining experience. Pump the brakes a little and let your guests enjoy their meals. There wasn't rush for my seat as the place was pretty dead.
Please take into consideration that the choice of music playing in the restaurant today is not really suitable for the patrons. I dined solo for lunch between 12:30-1:15. Every person in the restaurant besides myself and one other was of senior citizen + age. The music was loud and full of profanities. I asked the waitress about it and she agreed and stated the “Big People” make the decision for what music is played in the restaurant and that it has been brought up to the higher ups.
Obviously they aren’t listening to their staff members about their concerns regarding this. I definitely think this music is more for the night club. Not an enjoyable lunchtime for several elderly people.
We had a fantastic experience! Our server kept us smiling and laughing! Our dinner that evening was a wonderful experience after a very good afternoon. We had the all you can eat off the menu plus some very delicious margaritas! THANK YOU!
