Stopped in to Applebee’s for the first time in probably 20 year because it was next to the new Tesla Supercharger in Corning NY. The atmosphere was what you would expect for restaurant chain of this tier. The staff was very friendly. The food however left a bit to be desired. I ordered the 8 oz Bourbon Street steak medium rare, and a tall Southern Tier IPA. The beer ???? was fine but the meal was a bit off. The steak ???? was cooked correctly but the consistency was just weird, almost like it was fake. I appreciate a really good steak and wouldn’t expect that necessarily at an Applebee’s, but this didn’t even meet that expectation. The mashed potatoes were thin and watery tasting like they were instant out of a box. Not the worst meal I’ve ever had, but there are definitely other chains that do it far, far better. ????????♂️
A surprisingly disappointing and frustrating experience. They took longer to get us the drinks than to get us 5x different hot meals, one of the deinks was wrong and took a other while to get the right one. Then our waiter disappeared for more than 20’ and we had to ask 3x different times for new drinks and all we got as an answer was “we’ll let your waiter know when she’s back”… no! There were lots of idle staff just lingering around, why do I need to wait for one specific person to make a perfectly generic order?? Eventually a replacement came, ordered the drinks, took another 10’ to get them to our table (even though the venue was almost empty at this point). It’s like they were not interested in making money at all.
The food was super fast and delicious, so congrats to the kitchen staff on having their stuff in order
Great casual dining option while driving from Niagara Falls to NYC, making it a desirable spot for the first break, or last if you're heading back, as it's right before Corning. Staff was friendly and attentive (Jessica was great), making sure my visit was enjoyable. Menu offered a wide variety of comfort food selections, something for everyone. I enjoyed the shrimp with grilled chicken and 4 cheese pasta. For 2 persons the best deal is to get combo for $25/$28/$31 that would include an appetizer and an entrée. Overall, a good experience for a relaxing dinner with reasonable prices.
I had the pleasure of dining at Applebee’s while traveling through New York State, and I couldn't be more impressed! Not only was the food delicious, but the service was top-notch. The wait staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt right at home.
The real standout, however, was when I accidentally lost my wallet at the restaurant. To my relief, someone turned it in, and the manager went above and beyond by mailing it back to me in Ohio. It’s rare to find such genuine care and kindness in a restaurant, and I truly appreciate their exceptional hospitality.
This Applebee’s team made my day, and I will certainly be back next time I'm in town! Thank you for your honesty, professionalism, and outstanding service!
Busy Sat night. Strawberry salad (despite being in off season) was excellent. Came in minutes. Excellent service. They offer gluten sensitive options. If you’re looking for a low calorie option, there aren’t many. But overall, very impressed!
It's an Applebee's, a chain restaurant that you know what to expect as soon as you walk in the door. Overall was pretty good. Drinks were pretty good though the server did seem to have trouble remembering what we actually ordered, though in her defense the place was very busy. Definitely would recommend for a quick dinner or an easy night out.
Two adults ate an early evening meal here on a Friday in mid-August and enjoyed the food. The restaurant/parking lot was almost full due to Friday “after work” people at the bar area, but we were seated in just a couple of minutes. Service was somewhat slow but they were really busy. The food was very good and all of the staff were very friendly. Cost was about $38 with tax less tip. Would come back again if we lived in the area.
Ordered our usual broccoli chicken Alfredo sauce. somehow was given a clump of fettuccine noodles with no sauce and dry and crispy! Not very good at all. Also the chicken with shrimp and mashed potatoes. Which wasn’t bad except loaded with salt, more than normal. We started with the combo appetizer which usually consistently good. The waitress was ok , just wish the food was .
