Food was good but service was a little slow and they made a few mistakes. Had to ask for water 3 times. Also they overcharged the wine (double). Hard to understand when there were only 3 tables occupied. Cannot imagine the mistakes and the service when it is busy
The food was very delicious. The temperature of the food was piping hot. I order this dish all the time and very rarely is the dish ever sizzling, but this time, it was and we all were well pleased. We had the best waitress.
One the server barely visited our table to check in on us, which was very irritating. Than, my steak came back raw, had my husband taste it and both of us agreed it was going bad, and we’ve been to multiple steak restaurants so we know when a steak is off, it tastes extremely bad I immediately threw it up and could not finish my meal. Then, my husband had mold in his cup from them not cleaning the machines (we both use to work in restaurants as teenagers) very disappointed. Currently, we’re both having stomach pains. Will never come back!!! And they only took 10% off the food I barely ate and threw up.
Update on 6.24.2024: filled out a form to have corporate call me per the last response and never received a call or email back from corporate regarding the issue. Extremely disappointed
The family and I decided to come to the Daytona Beach Applebees. I must say the food was amazing. Perfectly made fries, and burgers. I have not had food that good in some time. I would like to say thank you to a manger named Billy and our server Alyssa for taking such good care of us. Top notch to both of them. I will definitely be returning. Our last time visiting was less than pleasant, but they went above and beyond and we are very pleased with the food and service we received this evening.
Picked up my brother late from the airport and this was the closest place that was still open. Walked in the door and waited 10-15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Finally got to our table where the table was very sticky like someone had spilled a sweet drink, even the seats felt sticky when we left later on. We ordered appetizers, the 2 for $25 and an order of fish and chips, two Bloody Mary’s and a soft drink. The appetizers were the best part of our order. The first Bloody Mary was very weak, I could barely taste any alcohol at all. The second was very strong and actually gave me a strong buzz. Consistency is definitely lacking there. Got our entrees and as soon as I saw my brothers fish and chips I was like he’s not going to enjoy that and I couldn’t believe anyone could serve that in all good conscience. The oil was so old and dark. The fish was just way too dark and greasy. My brother took two bites and the fish was hard and rubbery. He asked our waitress for a to go box. My two entrees were also a major disappointment. What I got and what the menu presented were not even close. The steak if you multiplied it by two would fit inside the inner palm of my hand. It was so dry and tough and wasn’t medium rare. The mashed potatoes were so runny and flat looking. They looked like a runny blob, kind of like porridge. The broccoli didn’t look fresh but wilted and old. The fries were limp and old looking as well. Our server was very nice and it’s because of her that I gave 3 stars otherwise it would be a 1 star as well. When I say this I am not joking when I say this was by far the WORST FOOD I’ve ever tasted and received from a well known restaurant chain. I’ve ate at a lot of different restaurants all of the world and I consider myself a foodie but this was horrible. My food by far tastes a lot better and I’m not a chef. I would NOT recommend eating hear. They just stare at you when you walk in, talk at the bar and come over to greet and seat you when they feel like it. I do not recommend it, the worst restaurant the toilets were in terrible condition and they don't even remember to clean them!!! I don't even want to know what the kitchen looks like. I ordered a
steak that came raw. After finding out that I returned it, the waitress was so rude that she charged us for it anyway. In the evening I started to have terrible stomach aches that persist!!!! Food poisoning in this restaurant for sure. definitely need to send an inspection to that disgusting place!
Very disappointed that the Leadership, as I was told, added the requirement of buying a drink to take advantage of their daily specials. It is not advertised. I come for the daily specials because they are a good value. Adding on a drink I don't want will stop me from coming to Applebee's for the deals. Food and service has been very good but the fake requirement for a drink is not pleasant.
Anthony the bartender was so awesome I know that I would have gotten even better service from him if he wasn't doing every other job in the restaurant like seating guest when the alleged host was sitting on his but looking at his phone, he was delivering food to the other patrons while other workers stood around and played on there phones I normally wouldn't do a review like this but I asked to talk to the manager but apparently she was too busy to talk to me well all I can say is if you come here sit at the bar and talk to anthony and if he is not doing the job for the other server's he will still do his best to give you great service also to add I requested to speak to the manager but they were unable to be found.so i left the establishment and decided to leave this post.
