Stopped in at the Applebee's in Joplin for a nice lunch. The staff seated us promptly and within a short amount of time pur waiter arrived with the menus and quickly brought our water. We decided on the 2 for $25 deal. We both ordered house salad with the house made ranch dressing and my wife had the Fiesta Lume Chicken and I had the Four Cheese Mac n Cheese topped with Honey Peppered Chicken Tenders. The salad was served in ice cold bowls, plenty of dressing and was really good. Our meals were served hot and we both commented on how delicious they were. The chicken was cooked perfectly, my pasta was al dente giving it the perfect texture. Overall it was a nice dining experience. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the waiter, Cody, did an outstanding job.
I got the Chicken Fajita roll-up, and it was okay. Nothing great about it that I can think of, it's very basic. The service is pretty typical and gets the job done. Food is kinda expensive at about $15-20 per meal, but they have specials all the time, so stick with those if you have an issue with cost. Overall, I'd say there are other places to think of going first, but Applebee's is not a bad option if you have to choose.
We were seated fairly quickly, took a few for our server to finally come over and there was only 1 other table that was seated when we were put in the section. We placed our order for drinks and appetizers and took another almost 8 minutes for just 2 fountain drinks to come back, when we placed food orders, took over 20 for the appetizer to come out finally and the chicken wings were gross. My husband finished his drink before the appetizer even came out and he placed the drink near the edge of the table just so it was visible and after our server came back with the side of sour cream that took another 5 minutes to get, he had to ask for a refill on his drink. Several of the people around us were discussing how the food was also not great.
Honestly love coming out to our local Applebee's whenever I get the chance always has great service and great food our server today was excellent and his name was Brian
We ate there last night. I didn’t like my drink that I ordered, but that’s just a preference, I am sure. However, my steak was cooked wrong, I sent it back and the next one was cooked correctly, but ZERO FLAVOR! No spices were used or anything. My mashed potatoes were absolutely terrible as well, and had a film over them like they had sat for a long time. We had looked forward to this meal as we don’t go out to eat much. It was such a disappointment!! We will not go back.
Okay so I went back to this Applebee's and let me tell you about my experience for one we had the slowest waitress in the place and she did not seem too enthused to do her job when are appetizer came out it looked like it had been sitting in the window for a while the cheese was cold by the way I love Brew Pub pretzels these were not the best but they were still good just the cheese was cold but then when I got my whiskey bacon burger I did not notice it at first but my top and bottom of my bun were completely burnt hard on one side I have teeth problems so it hurt my mouth I stated something to my waitress who seemed to do more of standing around dancing and singing to the Jukebox then being attentive to her tables tells me she will go tell the manager so I initially think that the manager will be coming out to talk to me I did not want to remove my food from the ticket I would have just asked them to pay a little more attention but I was completely ignored ignored by management and waitress after that point she brought me my check I paid and walked out I will not be returning I do not believe that this Applebee's deserves a second chance I have been to other because I believe they do better I have went to the one in Texas and got way better service the one in Springfield will give you better service I would not recommend Applebee's in Joplin to anybody
I've ate alot at this Applebee's numerous times with wonderful staff and food! The portions are great and the 2 for 2x menu deal is even better! We went later at night after a party with many complements on the outfits from all the tables around! One of the other tables that night asked a waitress to take our photo with him! Sadly Big-Boogie had to leave but the nice waitress still took out photo for us! Highly recommend this Applebee's!
Quisadia salad was huge.. I was impressed..
