ZERO STARS!!! RAW FOOD!!
Dined in for the all you can eat deal going on for $15. Ordered my first order of shrimp then second I ordered boneless wings and the pretzel appetizer which were both RAW inside! I told my server, but she didn't apologize until we were preparing to leave at the end.. after we paid. smh. I asked to have my meal compensated or take off something reasonable but the manager only took off $4.. I'm consuming raw food and the business only wants to take off $4. I feel like all was very unprofessional and they didn't show care or concern for my husband and myself consuming raw food. No I don't want another order. I'm going to leave and prepare for the food poisoning I may have later this evening..
Awful experience this evening. Food took over 45 mins to get to our table…only 2 entrees and a soup, some of it cold. My wife ordered soup to start but had to remind the waitstaff to bring it and they sounded like they forgot. Biggest pet peeve! When food finally got to the table, nobody had silverware so I had to go to the bar to ask. The table next to us wasn’t happy with their service either because I heard a waitress use the “we’re short staffed” excuse when there were multiple members of the waitstaff walking around. Mind you, the restaurant wasn’t even quarter full. Unfortunately, we are done with Applebees for the foreseeable future. The service has just been abysmal lately.
Update: Got a kids burgers that was overcooked to the point the cheese turned black and crispy. Amazing the kitchen would even send that out. They also forgot another entree and a side, but we're quick to remedy, and gave a double side. They did offer a free dessert for the inconvenience.
We tend to get carry out here. For whatever reason when you dine in, the service is always lacking, and something always gets messed up. Carry-outs are a different story, it's always on point, and if they miss something they are quick to fix it.
My wife ordered chicken alfredo and the noodles were hard and chewy. Asked waiter to fix the order and we think they just gave her back the same plate. The manager came over after waiter asked if it was any better, and we said, no. Manager explained the pasta is made in the morning, and thats the way it is. Had this dish at the Chesterfield Applebees. No problem there. I would avoid this Applebees at 16/Van Dyke in Sterling Heights.
Why did it take 20min to get water? Servers never even showed up until I got up to ask. Even getting up I was getting ignored countless times by all the servers. Never have felt more disrespected in this place. The shrimp tasted dry and bitter from all the reused oil. Chicken was edible but I’m not sure if I’ll make it home. Spent 2.5 hours here and got checked on a total of 0 times until I got the attention of two other servers that didn’t care. Also explain how the lettuce and breadstick both felt and tasted like plastic. Overall horrible service and food please never come back for yours and your bathrooms sake.
Kaylee was an amazing host and welcomed my family to our seats. Lyssa, our server was outstanding and went out of her way to make sure my family and I were taken care of. Highly recommend coming back because we definitely will
I always have a great experience at this location. My waitress, Chloe, made sure my daughter and i were taken care of. My food came out in a timely manner, was fresh, and most importantly; delicious. The cook, Brittany, even came over to make sure i was satisfied with my meal. Definitely will be returning.
Terrible service. Waitress hardly took our order. Other ppl brought it out. Didn't come to check on us. Didn't give us silverware, hand to get up and physically find napkins on our own. The menus were sticky. Manger was no where to be seen, and the server didn't stay at our table long enough to even ask for silverware, let alone the manger.
