Server was new so I wouldn't particularly blame her, perhaps whoever trained her, or her lack of training. But the service was very poor. The overall vibe of the staff seemed disconnected to the guests though it wasn't just our server. Everything was very awkward, the server was inexperienced and didn't have the answers to some of our questions but she never made any attempt to GET the answer. Just "I don't know" or "I'm not sure I'm new"... Very odd.
A fork was dirty so I had to send that back.
It took very long to get our drink even though there was not one guest at the bar, we finally saw a bartender making a drink 8 minutes after we had ordered it. The restaurant was not that busy given how many servers I'd see standing around.
And the server dropped the checks off minutes after we started eating. She was polite enough to say "no rush, this is just so I don't get sidetracked" so I understand she's probably just making sure she won't forget. But again, poor training because that's not good server etiquette. She didn't check on our meals while we were eating or even asked if we were done! Just gave us our checks haha it was so unusual and awkward. I still tipped her well because I don't particularly blame HER, you could tell she wasn't trained very well poor girl. The overall atmosphere was uninviting though the staff doesn't seem attentive or welcoming it just felt like they'd all rather be somewhere else. It was a very uncomfortable experience. I won't be going back to that location
We came in a few weeks ago on June 19th, the restaurant was dead. There were SEVERAL tables open, a few people at the bar, the bar tender told us someone would be right with us. We stood there 10 minutes & couldn’t even get seated so we left. & there were waitresses walking around, doing nothing.
So THEN, we decided to DoorDash a few nights later on June 21st. & the picture below was the aftermath of that. The burger was not done at all, the meat was cold, mushy, I am surprised we didn’t get sick.
The last few times we had actually been in to eat, it was bad from the service to the food. Super disappointing because I love Applebee’s but we won’t be back to this location.
I tried the new Bacon chicken sandwich. It was ok but the chicken was very hot (temp-wise). It almost burnt the taste buds that I have left. Our server was ok but she questioned everything. For example, we ordered 2 separate orders of fries and only received 1. When we told her we were missing an order of fries, she literally looked around the table as if we were hiding the other order. That happened several times with different things.
Stopped at this establishment for a quick dinner at around 5.30p on Saturday, bathrooms were clean, and there weren't many people. Food was good, it came out considerably quickly. I would recommend it.
Long waits and alot of mess ups. Long wait after seating to get drinks and food. After food arrived we only had half of what we ordered because the waitress got confused even though she confirmed our order 3 times. The waitress "talked" to the manager about a discount but he refused since it was her fault but substituted a free desert that they still tried to charge us for. After we ate it was another 30 minute wait for our check. As dead as this restaurant is they should have no problem being quick

Had a fantastic meal at Applebee’s in Gaffney! Fredericka was my server, and she was amazing. She knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect. On top of that, she was super friendly and knowledgeable about the area, which made the experience even better. I felt like I was being treated like family. I’ll definitely be back! A+++
The food was good. I hadn't been to an Applebee's in many years and really wasn't my ideal pick, but it was really bout the only thing gaffney offered. Nevertheless, food was good, and the service was good and may end up trying it out again in my hometown.

I picked up food for someone else. I smelled really good. Not sure that I would eat there because it looks nasty. Definitely overdue for a renovation. The carpet was all stained up, cobwebs in the corners, counters were not clean, ventilation has mold spores on vent covers...I would hate to see what the kitchen looks like. Sorry, but this is my opinion!
