We should have been clued in when we came in for lunch at 12:30 and there were only a couple of customers. My friend ordered the chicken wrap and she said it was very tasteless and had no signature type flavor at all. She also got a Caesar salad and said the dressing did not taste like Caesar. I got the bone-in chicken plain due to allergies and it was very dry and tasteless. My fries were also soggy and cold. The service and food were mediocre at best. I used to love Applebee's and it had been quite a long time since I had eaten there. There are too many other options to waste my $$ at Applebee's. I won't be back.
I received a very poorly made meal and when calling to ask for a refund they wanted me to drive back to the store. After telling the 3rd person the same thing and trying to explain to the manager Dan, he proceeded to ignore me and hang up. Worst customer service I have ever received. He did offer to fully refund my meal which I greatly appreciated. But this was after the third person asking me to drive back to the store 15 minutes away.
Should of known better to not go at 834pm.
Took 20 min for a water. I was NOT happy, I watched people get drinks after us. Made my soul
unhappy.. never again
My husband and I ate there today 10/27/24. He had steak and said it was alright. I had boneless BBQ wings. When our order came we started to eat, that's when I realized mine was barely warm. I ask our waitress to send them back. When she brought my food it was overcooked so bad and had a nasty taste to them. When our waitress brought the bill for $30. I told her I should not have to pay for mine and she needed to talk to her boss. When she returned with my card she ran it for the full amount. I will never, and I mean never eat at this place again. Shame on them for being so disrespectful. Never Again!
My fiancée and I eat here sometimes…. The food is alright. I really like going for the non-alcoholic cherry Shirley Tipple drink or whatever with pop rocks, always good. The boneless wings is the appetizer we always get and they are really good. The main entree is alright, the food does need more flavor. My fiancée got the new chicken bacon ranch dinner and he didn’t like it too much and I got the 3 cheese hot honey chicken pasta dish that was really good but did need more seasoning and sause. Staff is fairly nice but I’d prefer waiting to get a table for more room to get the other parties out of the way so we can enjoy are own space rather than having kids running up to your table.
there was this one waitress although it might be rude to title her as actually having a job because she took like 30 minutes to even ask what drinks we wanted because i guess shes lazy im not sure, all she did was sit there and complain about her job and tried making it very clear to my table that she is more mature than us because she is "22 and has a kid", her words not mine. i find it very disturbing how a grown woman can talk to a bunch of teenagers in such a rude manner. i believe that this was very immature as waiters and waitresses are supposed to provide service and when we finally got our drinks she sat them down at another table and we had to pass out our own drinks to our table. she was on some kind of power trip when she should be trying to be personable. this is not okay for service workers, as i am one and have been taught to do things in best interests for the customer. just because we had a big group does not mean these service workers have to be rude. i encourage you guys at the alton applebees to consider retraining in the service category.
Paid $17 for a salad with barely any lettuce in it. The wings we got were burnt.
I just want to thank our server Clay for the great job that he did for us last Sunday. He did not make us feel like we were a bother with our special request concerning our food. When we received our food without those request taken care of, he was willing to make it right.
I also want to thank Eric ( a manager from the kitchen) Who happened to be passing by our table when we received our food and heard the news that things were not quite right. He was extremely helpful and kind in getting it all resolved Expediently for us.
They both were very kind and professional in their willingness to help us.
Thanks again Clay and Eric you are great examples of what professionalism should be.
