We were driving to Newark airport on 78 and decided to take a lunch stop, which we enjoyed. We have cheerful services, the optiona of 2 for 24, 29 and 32 look attractive. We picked a choice from different columns and, no worries, they just averaged the price. I liked my ribs and half rack with fries, my partner enjoyed his chicken. He also got us the veteran discount. For a chain store, I think it is above-standard. Nothing to pick on, and good value.
Waitress was nice and food was ok. Chips were extremely salty like someone dump salt on them. Mozzarella stick were cold. But what I’m mostly dissatisfied with was the front of the house greeter. It was an older women who was working there. We were not greeted she didn’t say hi back when I said it to her. Look I get it we all have a bad day sometimes but I felt I should mention it here due to her actions. She tried to seat us at the bar but I have two family member who are old and have trouble walking there is no way they can go up those high chairs. So I asked nicely if they have any booths available. She said no even though there were plenty of booths in the front available. She than changed her mind and told us there’s a booth in the corner. The whole time she is trying to seat us at the booth she is lecturing and being snippy with me about how I was asking about a booth at certain section and how I can’t have it because the waitress in that section is doing a big table of 6 guests and can’t do any more tables. She would not let me speak and when I did she just spoke over me and got louder. The crazy part is I never wanted a specific booth I had just asked for any booth or any table that weren’t high like the ones at the bar. She made up this situation in her head or going crazy. This experience was horrible and it felt like the mood was ruined. And I didn’t deserve to be spoken to that way when I was nice to her the whole interaction.Will not be going back
We arrived at opening and the lady's room smelled really disgusting. Also the dining room floor had food all over it and sticky nasty floors, from the prior evening.This is a fact, because as stated above, "we arrived at time of opening." I am diabetic so I asked if they had diet juice of any kind as I wanted to enjoy an adult beverage. They do not, so I would definitely put that in their suggestion box; if they have one lol. We ordered steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Steak and mashed were good... broccoli not so much!
Consistently good food and a variety of options for all tastes. Decent beer menu to complement the appetizers or entrees. Good deserts to finish a meal. Great value for the variety of food items available. Never a disappointment and a treat to please a diverse crowd of tastes. Something for everyone at a good price.
This Applebees is AMAZING! The appetizers are the way to go here! The boneless buffalo wings are unlike anything I have ever had before! You can't beat the 2 for $20 deal and end your night with a chocolate meltdown.
The wait staff is all so kind, I continuously find myself driving out of my way to go to this specific Applebee's.
In addition, ordering online is super easy for curbside pickup, if you don't feel like eating in. Highly recommend!
This place has great customer service! All the staff there was very nice. I had ordered for curbside pickup and the gentleman that came out with my order was very nice to me. I was not waiting at all but I had got home and my order was missing a few things so I gave them a call back. I talk to the manager on Duty. He was very nice, very understanding. He Said I can come back and he’ll make the items I’m missing. This the customer service I love and nowadays you don’t get customer service like that, you don’t get any service lol I just wanted to write this review to shout out this manager and how he’s training his staff. People will say this is just a little incident or this happens all the time or its not a big of a deal, that manager made it a big deal he made it like “oh no we do not serve our customers that way” and I just really appreciate that so if you want to go to any Applebee’s go to the Applebee’s in Phillipsburg New Jersey , thank you ! Applebee's in Monroeville is a nice place to eat and relax. The staff, management and service is pretty good. The employees are always polite & friendly and the food & cold beer has always been to my liking. I would definitely recommend stopping in for the experience if you're hungry and in the area.
Went here for a business lunch and we were all pleased with the friendliness of our server, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the quality of our food. Our meals were served quickly and accurately despite a few requested alterations. It's a standard experience for an Applebee's, so I can't go 5 stars, but I would eat here again.
