Our main courses were both smaller than our appetizer. Very dissatisfied with portion sizes. Especially when the price is the same....
Food is just gross. Got a cheeseburger with barely any meat and all toppings. The bun tastes and feels old. Never have good food from here.
If bland had a home, this would be it. Nothing thrilling. These people go to work, do their job and go home. Just normal everyday people trying to get through a work day, which is completely fine, but it also makes for some subpar dishes.
I've been inside this place once. The floors were sticky and so was the table, but it wasn't really a big deal to me. The waitress was wonderfully normal. Not rude, or overly nice, just a tired looking woman trying to make it in this economy.
The food is really what's off-putting about this place. The meals are small in comparison to any other similar place I've been too. The fries are very bland, I'm not sure if they season them?
I don't know what compelled me to order from here after going there in person, but I just had a whim and followed it. The main meal I ordered, was irrelevant. Just blah, edible, nothing impressive, but the dessert! Oh my god. The dessert was an abomination.
I ordered the Brownie with hot fudge and ice cream. The pic online was just amazing (see attached pic). I never thought I'd be catfished by a dessert, but the gods of Applebee's Grill have rose to the challenge.
This thing is tiny. Like...two bites tiny (see pic; Gatorade cap for scale) And, if I'm being honest, it was only like $3 or something, so I could get over the size of it, but then I bit into it....or, at least, I tried to. Thing was hard as virgin in a strip club. I tried to break it in half with my hands...no dice. I tried to cut it. Nope. I stabbed at it repeatedly and managed to break off a small chocolate flake. It tasted like disappointment and crushed dreams.
If you're looking for mediocrity, this is the place for you, but for the love of everything holy, DO NOT GET THE BROWNIE.
First off we didn't see our waitress for15 minutes to get our drinks then finally we got to order then we got some people at the booth behind us. Those customers behind us got their food a good 15 minutes before us. My Mil asked for steak sauce and the waitress told her she would get that for her when she had time. Then my boyfriend had a cooked fly in his mashed potatoes. We asked to see a manager the manager finally showed up said all of our food was paid for and she was going to give us a couple of $10 coupons. We had to say 67.00 and she gave us one coupon. We arrived there about 6:30 and didn't leave until after 8:00. Also it was so hot in there. Terrible service, hot and the manager didn't do what she said she would. We won't be returning.
It's been a while since we went to an Applebee's but the atmosphere is still positive and inviting service was great with refills and entertaining our kids. Food was still what I remembered not a steak house but tried the 8oz anyway and both mine and the wives were over done (The rare was more medium, and the medium was more medium~done). Did get some off the bill for that issue too, which were grateful for.
Burgers are always cooked into next week. Most of the food is just ok. Service is good. It's a favorite of a family member otherwise I'd skip it.
If my kid knows there's an Applebees near where we are then she wants to go. Food was good, waitress was friendly and we got our food pretty quick. Was not busy at all for being a little after 12 so that was a plus.
We had a party come in. They split us up which we were perfectly fine with . The restaurant was dead only had 3 tables. We sat there for 15-20 mins seeing them go to other tables and ignore us. Never got waited on. The manager even saw and made direct eye contact. We ended up walking out. Missed out on over a $100 tab.
