While the wait at the restaurant was brief, I found that the waitress was not very familiar with the menu. Unfortunately, some of the items I wanted to order were either unavailable or required alterations, which was a bit disappointing. For instance, my Bloody Mary lacked vodka and several essential ingredients, and I believe more training could help improve the staff's knowledge of the drink.
When it came to the food, there seemed to be some miscommunication about our order. The chicken wings we received tasted like they were from a frozen bag, and the chicken on one of the plates seemed to have been microwaved. Additionally, the shrimp was overcooked and difficult to enjoy.
I believe that with some improvements in menu knowledge and food preparation, this Applebee location could enhance the overall dining experience. I hope to see positive changes in the future.
We understand all restaurants can have a bad day. When we pulled up, there was only two other cars in the parking lot. It was 1:15pm so we figured the "lunch crowd" was already done. Apparently, the A/C was not working since there was a huge cooler blowing full blast when you talked in. We were at a table that had a floor fan blowing right on the table. Guess that was supposed to be a good thing. I ordered Tomato Basil Soup and a Grill Cheese sandwich. It took 25 minutes to get our food. There were two servers on duty and only 4 people who didn't have food. When the sandwich came out it was hard, dry toast, about like a crouton. After being presented the bill and giving my credit card it was another 6 minutes before a different server came back. Bare in mind, there are now only 4 people in the place. Won't be back anytime soon.
Excellent service was provided during my whole meal. Steak made to perfection. Area very clean, inside and outside. Cost of meals are very reasonable. I recommend this place for one or whole family. 5 ⭐ 's for here. 21 May '21 no masks are required except for staff. Update: 31 Jan, 2024. Decided to go for late lunch. Had all-you-can-eat Shrimp and Fries. Very good ???? meal for the price. The shrimp was not as crispy as I wanted but still very delicious. Wasn't very crowded, so service was very quick. I still rate this restaurant as a 5 ⭐'s Update: 31 October,2024. Great prices for meals. Check ✅ your specials. Service is understaffed for the amount of people that patronizes here. Still a 5 ⭐'s
I ate my free Veterans Day meal here. The steak was amazing. Very tender. They do offer steak sauce, but I wouldn't ruin that steak by adding anything to it. The rest of the meal was also great. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures. I highly recommend this restaurant.
My husband and I stopped going here years ago due to the bad service and incorrect orders received. Decided to give it another try. Nothing has changed! Drink order arrived after food was served, and it was not what I ordered. My meal was missing the shrimp. We had several different servers, none seemed to know what the other one was attending to, and none were attentive. The place was not even busy!
You should NEVER recommend someone to go to a competing restaurant ALWAYS ENCOURAGE the customers to stay but that’s not what happened after standing at the entry w no server in sight and a customer had to go in the kitchen and tell them we were waiting to be seated. Watched the server stare at me from the register at the bar and slowly and clearly not wanting to do her job. I’m sure it’s not a discrimination but the fact it’s young people who don’t care about how present themselves in a work space but to BJs we go as she agreed we go there after suggested by the customer who was kind to give conversation as we figured things out
Sigh. This is why I havent been to Applebee's in years. We went because we got coupons in the mail. Bogo 6oz steak dinner. The whole atmosphere is upscale McDonald's. Ordered 2 "dollaritas" and 2 steak dinners. Watched our drinks sit at the bar for more than 10 minutes until I grabbed them myself. (Ticket confirmed they were ours). Basically water with a splash of margherita mix and the worst tequila imaginable.Steaks ordered medium and med rare. One was basically beef jerky and the other was completely raw. Potatos were cold. We sent the raw steak back. The server was polite and apologized, I have no problem with that young man he provided good service. The plate came back warm, with warmer mashed potatoes, warmer broccoli, and warmer steak but not cooked any more. They clearly put the plate in a d*** microwave! How do you undercook a steak and just throw it in a microwave?!?! Thats absolute garbage at ANY restaurant. You should be ashamed! microwaved food?? SHAME! We didn't send it back again. Just asked for the bill. Which wasnt correct. Asked for a corrected bill, was told the manager had to fix it but she's cooking. We left cash on the table (more than enough to cover the bill) and left. This place is....depressing. seriously. Even with a coupon I'll never be back. Save your time and money people. Hell even Texas Roadhouse will give you a 8oz sirloin with sides for less than Applebee's trash 6oz. You're better off going to a local restaurant or even Whataburger. Sad
My family has been eating at Applebee's for years. I will say that their prices have gone up and I don't like that they've cut the spinach dip in half...yet the price is more. One thing I'm glad about is the introduction of the Impossible burger to their menu. It was delicious!
