This evening I had a less than stellar interaction with a DoorDash “customer service” representative as my third party delivery from Applebees in the commons and DoorDash would not assist INSISTING they’d “just spoken to the dasher and they just picked it up so there’s nothing else we can do for you”. I confirmed with the location that it was in fact NOT picked up and coordinated with them directly to get our order situation sorted out. Sabrina at the bar, Brian the manager, and Sarah M who I spoke to multiple times and who brought me my order were all super helpful and kind and I very much so appreciate their help and PROFESSIONALISM! Oh, also the dasher showed up at 7:10 to “pick up my order” that had been cancelled already (which was an hour and 10 minutes after is was supposed to be DELIVERED to me) while I was in the restaurant and the staff intervened and didn’t allow them to scam me out of my order :)
Could not imagine a dumber experience. We just suffered an 8 hour trip to Rhode Island (supposed to be 3 hours) due to horrific traffic and a perpetually car-sick toddler. We chose this Applebee's because it was in the same complex as our hotel. We ordered an appetizer and two dinners. When I arrived, the pickup process seemed a bit confused (food wasn't waiting at the host stand like the app said). I checked the bag that was eventually delivered for contents and confirmed 3 items. Got back to the hotel room to find that the very expensive appetizer was missing (1 of the 3 containers was about half filled with fries alone). Called the location, they said they were sorry that they forgot a bag. Why is there a need for multiple bags when 3 items were ordered? I asked for a refund as I was very tired and did not feel like walking back to pick up the bag they forgot. They offered a gift certificate, but I said I would really like a refund. After 'manager approval', I was told the refund would post in 7-10 days. I received my 'refund' and it was only about 60% of the cost of the item that they did not provide. And I tipped up front on the app. Awful experience. If I had the time to fight over $7 I would, but I don't and I'm guessing they're banking on that. If you MUST order takeout here, do yourself a favor and don't tip on the app. Make sure to disassemble whatever bags they give you in location to verify each food item ordered was provided.
Chay waited on us with a friendly smile and much attention. She made our visit delightful. Bravo Chay!
I love their all you can it meal for $15.99. Great food at a very good price. You cannot go wrong at South Kingston Applebees. Check it out for yourself.
Went back to Applebee’s after a long time and it was surprisingly a great experience. Delicious food at reasonable prices. Service was excellent, Amanda is the best ????????????????
I have been to this location a few times and have never had a bad experience. A few weeks ago especially, I had an outstanding experience at this restaurant, thanks to our server, Kim. She truly made our dining experience better. Her attentiveness was remarkable and she anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Not only was she incredibly polite, but her genuine kindness added a special touch to the evening. It's rare to find such exceptional service, and she truly made our visit memorable. The combination of delicious food and exceptional service makes this restaurant a top choice for any occasion. Highly recommended! And would for sure ask for Kim's table next time too!!
I know Applebee's are just about everywhere but this place is exceptional because in the small town life of North Kingstown, it's one of those rare places open late, serving both food, drinks (draaaanks), plenty of parking and this is the important part, the PM staff is the best. Sabrina, Grace and Bags are my favorite people!
Food was great but bartender the girl Steelers fan was horrible 0/6 on drinks had to ask every time for a refill and wait 12 minutes to get the check was not even busy very rude service from her but great food.
Never left a review before, but the manager is completely incompetent, rude, and condescending. Never met someone so power deprived. Pray for him.
