The 9.99 chicken and burger special is a hit I’m not even gone front! You couldn’t even go to the grocery store to get food prep ( comes with two drinks two fries and two sandwiches ) to make this at a price lower than what its offered for! This is one of the rare times I’ll say the meal was worth it over goin to the grocery store and on top of it, it was fresh and the taste was on par. Go head on Applebee’s ????????
Been watching staff walk by while I am waiting to be seated. I stood so long that I had to use the restroom. Then I took upon myself to seat myself. Restaurant not even halfway crowded. Finally someone comes to see if I’m waiting on someone. I informed the waitress that I been waiting to be seated and just seated myself. Haven’t ordered yet. Okay so 10 minutes later I got appetizer of spinach dip and nacho chips. Not bad. But I’m hungry.
I ordered a strawberry nut and vinaigrette salad with chicken. However chicken very dry. Some of the lettuce is wilted meaning it’s not fresh. Strawberries are sliced okay. Onions are rare and cut small. Not fresh because it smells funky. So ordering tomato and basil soup. Waiting to see how long it takes to get another water. Cup empty. They used the same cup the first time saying they had no more cups. Still waiting for my soup. It’s been 15 minutes. Finally came after about 20 minutes. It’s not bad tasting. But still waiting on water. Wow. 25 minutes. They may be really understaffed. But what really burned me is when I got my to go box for the chips and dip, I wasn’t given a container for the dip so it went in with the chips meaning the chips about to soggy. Thanks guys!!!! Literally like who does that.
I visited the Applebee's in the University City area after working a grueling 12-hour shift, hoping for a simple and satisfying meal. I ordered salmon and a spinach/artichoke appetizer to-go, making a specific request for tartar sauce and salsa as condiments. When I got home, I discovered that neither tartar sauce nor salsa was included in my order.
Disappointed and frustrated, I called the restaurant and spoke with the person who had taken my order. She apologized and offered a free replacement meal, which I accepted despite only wanting my original order to be correct. However, just five minutes later, I received another call informing me that the replacement meal was no longer an option, but I could come back to pick up the tartar sauce and salsa instead.
This experience was deeply frustrating. The manager failed to understand that simply fulfilling my original order correctly would have prevented this issue. Their response to my complaint was dismissive and unprofessional, lacking any real effort to make things right. To make matters worse, the manager didn’t even handle the situation directly, sending someone else to deliver the disappointing news.
I work hard, and I went to Applebee's expecting a decent meal after a long day. Instead, I got an incomplete order, poor customer service, and a lack of accountability. Losing $20 to fix a mistake seems like a small price to retain a loyal customer, but clearly, this manager didn’t see it that way. I’ll think twice before returning.
The appetizer combo has good portions of all 4 varieties and everything tastes yummm. The sizzler Bourbon chicken with shrimp is little over greasy and tastes okay. The crunchy onion rings are super crunchy and we loved it. Finally, the dessert triple chocolate meltdown, which is our favorite since ages, disappointed today. The lava in the middle was cold and tasted different. The staff are polite and well served. I recommend this place.
They let people smoke right outside the front door. Had to go throw up mid meal the smoke smell was so bad. The smell killed any kind of taste my food had. The server seems like this is the last place on earth she would want to be. The wings are smaller than a McDonald’s chicken nugget. Absolutely awful.
The food was delicious, with fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors. The ambiance was warm and welcoming.
But what truly made our visit special, though, was our server, Shamon. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He also speaks English and Spanish, love him.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant, and we look forward to returning soon!
I've been sitting in bar area for over 15 minutes. No one has yet acknowledged my presence.. Three Waitresses sitting at one table talking amongst themselves..
This is truly the worst service I have ever seen. How are they still in business
Now its been 20 minutes since I've arrived and have yet to see anyone approach my table. CRAZY!!!
I'M GOING TO TGIF!!!!
NEVER AGAIN!!!.
Our server was Jordin She's a star! She was so friendly and helpful. Basically every I wanted was either off the menu or a not the promotional price anymore, to the point where it was honestly funny and we laughed about it. But she still made our experience great. Also, you know a server is good when they are absolutely slammed on a Saturday night, taking multiple tables order's *without* a pad and still getting everything right with a smile on her face.
