Ordered mozzarella sticks and onion rings for appetizers. Mozzarella sticks tasted bready, cheese is there; but it’s flavorless. Onion rings had great texture and taste.
Ordered a cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, bourbon Swiss burger, and whiskey bacon burger. All were subpar.
Cheeseburger had translucent lettuce that should been thrown out a few days prior, overripe tomatoes to include one with part of the stem.
Chicken sandwich was dry and flavorless.
Bourbon Swiss burger was flavorless. No taste of Swiss or anything aside from a muted hint of beef.
Whiskey bacon burger had way overcooked bacon, beef tasted like it was boiled removing nearly all beef taste, and it also had translucent lettuce on it.
Fries were great. Ranch dipping sauce was extremely good.
Service was slower, believe it was due to the kitchen being slammed; very popular place for some odd reason. Server did her best. Definitely not a place to eat at the price point, McDonald’s or Burger King are better and that says a lot.
UPDATE: What a difference from last time! Service was excellent! Our waitress was attentive but also very respectful of my elderly guests. The manager was on the floor supporting both guests and staff. Very impressed!
Food was piping hot, hearty and plentiful. They got appetizers for the meal, they love the variety. I got a perfectly cooked burger off the lunch menu. It was very good.
The room felt much brighter, everything was sparkling clean and staff were very positive and friendly
*Previous Review: Service was awful. The hostess ignored us as we struggled at the doorway. The rug got caught on a walker and an elderly man nearly fell. The doors are very heavy and difficult to open for persons using a cane or walker.
*The very young hostess ignored the elderly couple and was clumsily trying to flirt with a disinterested man at the bar. She tried to seat an elderly couple with obvious mobility issues at the back of the restaurant and got snippy when told they were sitting at the front.
*Decor and atmosphere are dark, cookie cutter corporate.*Service was slow.
Went there for Veteran's Day. I had the Fiesta Lime Chicken, my wife had the Crispy Crunchy Shrimp. Both were excellent. Our server, San, was professional and courteous. Very good experience. Thank you, Applebee's, for remembering us Veteran's.
I didn't know that when I came in and ordered a mucho mudslide, that it would be a half hour wait to get it. The bartender wasn't sure, had to ask, had to go around various parts of the restaurant to get ingredients and then when it was done, she handed it to me with no whipped cream. When I mentioned the whipped cream, she said Oh, we don't have any of that. Man, that's the best part of the whole drink! What else I saw was chaos after a Sunday crowd, but the bartender was very good, and what I saw was an absolute A for effort!
The food was good, but service was absolutely terrible. Server took our order, and then only checked on us once. Someone else delivered our food, no refills and I had the endless riblets--they ended because we didn't see our server again until 20 minutes after everyone else had finished eating. Will not be returning.
Always good food. Was a wait today, but it was Father's Day. The greeter was overwhelmed. He was just young and inexperienced. Our waitress was very welcoming and efficient. We definitely will be back.
Cooks are a lil slow but that's to be expected when they have tons of orders and I have 8 kids so that's ok. Staff are amazing. And they have the best host ever. ( My 2nd to oldest daughter lol) I love the wonton tacos. And shark bowl if you are over 21.
We are visiting Clinton for my boyfriends job and Ordered carry out because we were hungry and didn’t want fast food but I’m very disappointed. Well done does not mean burnt to a crisp. They also got my order wrong I ordered a well done steak with broccoli and mashed potatoes and got two orders of mashed potatoes. I will never come back here again. Worst Applebee’s I have been too.
