Wow, what happened to this restaurant? Has not been great in my experience until the last 2 visits now, which have been phenomenal! The cooks know what they are doing, and it’s clear that some criticisms have been addressed. The fries were never too impressive, either lukewarm or barely seasoned. The last couple times have been the opposite; hot and crispy fries with delicious salty and peppery seasoning. I was wishing I had more at the end. The burgers my fiancée and kids ordered were all crispy on the outside and nice and juicy on the inside with fresh, crispy veggies and not too heavy on the condiments. A substantial improvement from last year. My baby back ribs were so easy to pull apart I was dropping them on my plate. Not burned at all, an expert job of BBQ slathering without going overboard. The chips and spinach dip has always been good, as was the case today. The waitress was very patient while 3 little boys tried giving her their order, and she didn’t forget a single item for us. Refills without needing to be asked. Just a fantastic visit, especially for a holiday weekend at lunch time. Will not hesitate to return again, especially since all of that only took $66 out of my pocket.
We went on Veteran's day since my husband is a Veteran. We got there right when they opened so no waiting which was nice. Our server was very friendly. Said his food and beer was on the house being a vet but I was charged for his beer. Food was good. But our fries were lukewarm. Was surprised at that being we were one of the first tables serves but as busy as it was becoming, I figured that sat on the pass for a bit before our server got there to bring them. Not a huge deal but I can only give 4 stars for food because of it. I had the bacon burger and my husband had the fried shrimp. No complaints about those. The rest of the visit was good. Restaurant and restroom were clean. Will return again sometime.
Consistently great! This is our third visit to an Appleby’s since we arrived in the US, and this is the third time it’s been great!
The service is so good. Our server Keisha (I hope I got that right), was so good, fast efficient, friendly. She took the time to chat with us, we had some friendly banter and had an enjoyable time, she made the difference between a good and great experience.
Regarding the food, between the three of us we had appetisers of onion rings, loaded waffle fries, and boneless wings with an Asian sauce, all of these were great, although the wings were a highlight.
For entrees we had the bourbon grilled chicken, so moist and tender. The 8oz sirloin steak medium rare, perfect sear, perfect temperature, absolutely nailed it! And finally the penne pasta with chicken tenders with a honey sauce, also excellent. It was a lot of food that we couldn’t quite finish.
Our entire meal was a very reasonable $86US
The high quality and consistency we’ve experienced has made Appleby’s our go to when we don’t know where to go. We should go more often.

Did car side. Had to call into store after waiting 25 minutes past my pickup time. Food was cold and my desert was a sliver of hard cake and a puddle of ice cream. Stuff should have been free.
We went there Saturday night. The whole experience was terrible. Salads came out after food, warm and limp. Food came out cold and had to be remade. 4 cheese mac and cheese had no actual cheese in it, just watery bland sauce. Never again.
Edit: The manager has reached out to me and offered to make it right with a gift card. Will accept his offer to try again.
Two stars because the waitress was nice. The food presentation got an F. Wait for food was too long. Giving small portions for the “All you can eat” is fine as long as you don’t have to wait long for refills. We waited a long time and the food came out cold. We didn’t get soda refills in a reasonable time. Other wait staff was standing around talking to customers. If they had that much free time, why didn’t they take other tables so our waitress could be freed up. Restaurant selection in Oneonta is terrible. But next time we’ll go to Burger King or head to Binghamton.

Would NOT eat there, saw first-hand things that go on in that kitchen.
And..... The job they had me do was totally not the job they promised over the phone and in person. There was a young lady that had been there for months that actually wanted that job, they passed right over her. I remember and can't forget the look in her eyes when she saw me "doing" that job. I can't stay quiet anymore.
This is the BEST Applebees employee ever. I’m from NJ and this is my first time at this Applebees and never been treated with such respect. Albie! Albie! Albie!
