The service was wonderful. She did such a great job! And the food was delicious too. Ordered the combo appetizer and put the artichoke dip on the quesadilla. Very yummy
Visiting SD and choose Applebee’s Mall location in hope of a shorter wait time, and it was, considering it was Saturday night. We were able to pass time walking the mall. Our waiter, Ozzy, was excellent. Everything we ordered was enjoyable. The experience superseded my expectations, for sure. Ordered the Asian tacos as an app, fish and chips & 12oz sirloin for dinner, followed by Cinnabons for dessert. All really great. Definitely a great location ????????????????
When we came in, they took down my name and phone number and told me they would text me when our table was ready. I received a confirmation text and we walked around the mall for twenty minutes until we got the text that our table was available. We ordered off the 2 for $24 menu and ended up with chicken and salmon. The food was fine for the most part but I found the salmon to be very oily which made it harder to eat. The mashed potatoes were excellent. The chips and spinach artichoke dip was good but there was an odd taste to the salsa I couldn't place to a particular flavor.
Riblettes were ‘quick cooked’. Certainly not slow and juicy. Dry, tasteless and not nice.
There is TOO MUCH SALT on the fries. Aren’t we all unhealthy enough without raising blood pressure with copious salt on fries. You have condiments on the table … let us decide.
Onion rings were awesome
Salad was fresh and great
Alfredo chicken and broccoli was nice. Chicken a Bit dry.
Music was good.
Food quality has been the most consistent at this location! It always tastes so fresh, and the staff is super friendly (don't come off as fake friendly either). If I needed a suggestion on something new to try i have always gotten sincere recommendations.
Told the waiter that we needed another minute to look over the menu when he took our drink order, which was just water. Over 15 minutes passed, but still, no water or order was taken. Flagged down the hostess and asked her to find our waiter. He finally came with our water. It was over an hour from when we checked in until we got our food. The food was very flavorful, and the waiter was much more attentive after the first ordeal. The restaurant appears neglected and in need of some deeper cleaning, as you can see in my photo of the stains on the wall by our booth. Portions appeared to be very similar to the ones in the menu, which doesn't happen much these days. Our only other complaint is, other than our waiter, the staff wasn't overly friendly.
I made a comment in passing about a food allergy, and ordered something that I thought was safe. The server on their own double-checked and came back and alerted me it wouldn't be. This gave me time to change my order and have a great meal .
Poor service. Waited to be seated. While hostess was sitting and talking. Once waiter came took order. Waited a while for our drinks. Wasn't all that busy. Then while we was waiting for our food. People behind us got food before us. And we ordered before them.
