The food has seriously fallen off. I know you get what you pay for but there are standards especially when PAYING to eat out. I expect to have food better than my kitchen, or least enjoyable when I am eating out. I don't care where it is that I am eating out, I expect quality food. Our spinach dip looked nuked in the microwave, was not hot, and "fresh". Does this (CF plate; looks like a kids meal) look worth 13-15 dollars, to eat out at an establishment that is supposed to be considered "eating good in the neighborhood"? Our son ordered the steak dinner which came out looking as if it was microwaved in water with no seasoning, and rubbery. He couldn't even eat it. Thankfully they comped him for his meal. Others ordered burgers and they were not cooked correctly. I am assuming the issues are with corporate, or maybe the chef, or maybe both. If you have certain foods on you menu, know how to cook them and serve them. If you are going to put out frozen food, do it correctly! Also, the establishment is sad (all locations) and nothing like it used to be. The atmosphere reminds me of the movie, "Waiting". They need an entire revamp from the food to the atmosphere! Very sad and disappointed in a place we use to enjoy often. only thing enjoyable was our amazing waitress, Kelly.
I met a guy here for a first date around 6:00 on 11/5/24. Firstly, I felt like I was being rushed (even though it was no where near close). Overall just didn’t love the service. Then we got dessert. The server brought the check and he paid by card while we were eating. I felt something kind of crunchy in the ice cream which I assumed was freezer burn and kept eating. Then, I got a bigger chunk. I tried to chew it, again thinking it was ice. I pulled it out of my mouth and it was a shard of BROKEN GLASS. I never complain at restaurants and got super anxious to do so. There was no one else around so I approached the host stand and she informed our server who got the manager. I didn’t really receive an apology, just got asked what I found in the ice cream. They were aware that something had broken in the back and the cook had claimed to dump everything which was clearly a lie. I get that accidents happen but this was pretty dangerous and I realistically shouldn’t have to worry about dying while eating at Applebee’s. The manager gave my date a $20 credit on his phone number because he’d already paid.
The cook did a great job on my quesadilla burger! It was cooked perfectly and really juicy. Julie, my server, was amazing and friendly???? Fran, the manager, was really polite and made sure I was happy with my service. Will definitely be a repeat customer.
I usually love going to this location but I don’t think I’ll be going back unfortunately. The lettuce was wilted and dirty. The broccoli was old and gross and our potatoes were burnt brown instead of the white color they’re supposed to be. I pointed out the salad and asked the owner/boss woman for a new appetizer for a replacement but the owner ended up charging us for them anyway and just taking 3.50 off our bill. I don’t see how that’s compensation for dirt in my food and my broccoli molding/wilting. It doesn’t seem like the women who runs the place knew what she was doing or cared to say the least.
We ordered appetizer combo. It must have been made 4 days ago...
Terrible! Microwaved Crap

We have always gone to Applebees for quick, good food. However lately we have been VERY disappointed. The last 2 times the food has been awful. I had the chicken dinner. Chicken was so processed with tenderizers, it was awful. My friend had the salmon and it was so overdone and dry she couldn’t finish it. All the food was cold. Portions on everything were smaller. My husband had the oriental chicken salad and it was so small it was appetizer size. ( but with a hefty price)
It’s understandable why there was hardly no one there. It used to be packed…. Not any more. My guess is if they don’t change, they won’t be around by the Fall. It was awful! Such a shame…. They need some help, fast!
Went in with a friend for the 2 for whatever entrees and a appetizer. We both wish we hadn't. The food was so bad we couldn't even have them remake it was so repulsive. Staff was lovely and only charged for our drinks and appetizers. Great staff.
The era of the chain restaurant is clearly coming to an end. Overall the food was okay and so was the service. There was almost no one else in there at the time we were there, but it still felt like a long wait for a couple burgers and a grilled chicken platter. I gotta be honest with y'all, we had a gift card and without it, Applebee's is just never gonna be the number one place I think of. It's a little sad really.
