They had half priced appetizers and $5 spooky drinks. Two of us dined for less $20. Pauline our server was prompt and friendly. The bartender made a delicious drink! We had the chicken wontons, so yummy! Love the crunchiness! We also had the loaded waffles fries which thick and stay crisp loaded with all the cheesiness goodness!
Other places had a 45-minute to an hour wait, and we got right in to Applebee's, which wasn't our first choice. But, our server got all our orders down pat without writing them down and was very courteous, and all our food was excellent.
Had their special ALL YOU CAN EAT; Chose the rib combo, which was super good. Their ribs are to die for, as are the garlic mashed potatoes! Cole slaw-same thing...yummy!THAT MEAL CHOICE IS ALWAYS EXCELLENT!
The food was decent, though I'd say it bordered heavily on bland. Our waitress was pushy and tried to rush us into ordering, which made me flustered, and I ended up ordering the wrong side. The place was clean and the other wait staff were friendly.
Hair in the food. The wait staff was awful they walked up to our table. And the first word was sorry we are understaff. Not my problem. Fries Ice cold ❄️ silverware was not clean need I go on. Will never eat at that Applebee's again.
Decent place eat here often but id like to see the tv's replaced and maybe a little lower wattage in the light bulbs above the tables but I'll be back
Idk what happened this time but my god, not impressed. Usually the foods great but my family and I ordered 3 chicken broccoli alfredos. Broccoli is raw or very near so, was cut HUGE too (bottle cap for size comparison). The sauce is just straight up a soup, not thickened at all like it usually is and its really salty compared to how it usually is. Besides the salt the chicken was good. This isn't my normal experience with Applebees South but its also not the first time its been like this either. Please work on your guys consistency.
We went for half priced appetizers. Our server was amazing! He and the other server on the floor were doing a fabulous job. They were in the weeds and still managed to be friendly, provide great service and the cooks did an exceptional job on the prep and timeliness of getting the food up and out of the kitchen.
But OH MY GOSH. Applebees managers…. What are those industrial lights you have because the lights were horrid. The staff (only 2 on the floor and a bar tender that I saw) were working their butts off but the lights were so uncomfortable I felt like I was in an interrogation. At one point the light got brighter and you could hear an intake of breath around the restaurant.
Now hear me out, if that is a ploy to get people to eat as fast as possible and not come back, excellent job. We generally eat at the North Applebees, but if they have those lights we won’t be eating there either.
If it’s miserable as a patron, I can imagine what working in there with those lights does to the servers (even if they don’t realize it). The server managed to get the lights dimmed (and it was better), but even dimmed they were rough.
We love you Applebees how you gonna do people dirty with those shadeless industrial bulbs. We wanna be comfy, you want us to eat and drink more… down with the lights Applebees and then we wil return! Until then it’s a no thank you even when the food and service were excellent.
