CUSTOMERS BEWARE! We suspect that one of the managers of the Cameron Park Applebee's is running a scam. We placed a mobile pickup order and paid online. My husband goes to pickup the order and is greeted cheerfully by one of the waitresses, who goes to the back to get our order. The waitress comes back out with the manager and the waitress's demeanor had completely changed to very unhappy. Like, what happened in the back that completely deflated the waitress??? The waitress went in another direction while the manager brought my husband the food. The manager then stated the order is not paid for. My husband says, it is paid for, but the manager kept insisting repeatedly. It wasn't until he said he's calling his wife (I placed the order) did the manager then go and get the receipt and say "Oh yeah it's paid for." Then as my husband goes to sign the receipt, the manager is standing over him and watching like a hawk to make sure he tips. We don't typically tip for takeout since we're not having table service and there are often issues with our orders, but my husband felt obligated to tip with her watching. My husband said the manager's behavior was very strange and suspicious We've never been treated this way at Applebee's and believe this manager is up to something. At best, her behavior was inappropriate. At worst, she's scamming customers. This manager was working between 1:30 and 2 PM on Sunday, 12/22/24. I've emailed corporate, as this could be happening to other customers. On top of all this, our orders were incorrect, which once again reaffirms why we don't tip for takeout.
Slow service. Finally ordered and it took over 45 min to get. Crispy shrimp, fries and a sample of Cole slaw. Shrimp warm and coating soft. I could have gotten better at fast food. First visit years ago at same place, wasn't impressed then either. Will never go back! Yuk
Just had Applebee’s a few days ago and honestly it met my expectations for a restaurant. The servers were doing a great job, the food was amazing; especially the onion rings and the boneless wings, which they tasted amazing. The day I went in, I ordered myself a chicken alfredo and some onion rings— less than 25mins for the food to arrive at my table: that’s considered good timing. I would highly recommend giving this place a try; honestly wish to visit the restaurant as often, but I live quite far away, so it’s considered a worth of a visit.
Service was good, but the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich had good flavor but the chicken was overcooked and hard to bite through. The frys were not hot and bland.
If you have been to Applebee’s before you pretty much know the layout. They stay pretty consistent throughout their locations.
The food here has always been good. I love the brisket tacos and fish & chips! Pretty good deals. 2 for 20 is a killer deal. Great appetizers. Haven’t tried the mixed drinks here, but they do have a decent selection for beer.
Customer service has always been wonderful. Always seated very quickly. Table service is excellent. Waiters and waitresses are always very nice and helpful. Food usually comes fairly quickly.
All in all I would recommend them. If you are a fan of Applebee’s you won’t be disappointed.
Dryest fried chicken sandwich I've ever tasted, and the bacon looked like a fossil. McDonald's would've been a better option.
Update, thanks for following up. My mom liked her salad, and that's all I really cared about. Everything else was unpalatable. Not looking for a refund or coupon. I think expectations for your establishment are now exactly where they should be. Not sure why I expected more.
