Best WLM Reviews

Do not come here even if your insurance pays for it. It is horrible. They told me that my insurance did not cover a Crown. So I waited months to save money to get The Crown paid for and to the point where now I need a root canal, and I found out my insurance does cover crowns and root canals. Now I've been in pain for 2 weeks. I had to be evaluated to get it pulled and the dentist Wouldn't prescribe more pain medicine to get me by Iuntil My extraction date on the fifth so tomorrow I don't get to eat. Thanksgiving dinner and I absolutely refuse to ever. Come back here again. I found one in elmsburg. I will happily drive to Instead of Coming here. I'm not going to sit here in pain. When they have the ability to fix my teeth, are pushing me to pay out a pocket for crowns. And lied to me about my crowns being covered, if you don't know if my insurance covers it, that's fine, say you don't know, but don't tell me that it doesn't cover it when it does!
Our appt was at 8 AM and we were taken back about that time. The wait in the back was ridiculous. My son had to get one small filling fixed. It took about 20 minutes for the dental hygienist to come and numb him up. They used the excuse of only having one hygienist working. It then took another 30 minutes for the dentist to come in and drill for approximately 5 Minutes. If you are truly short staffed then maybe don't schedule so many patients for that day. They also did something and had deleted my private insurance and tried telling me my son could only have a silver filling. I thankfully had my card with me and that was a relatively easy fix.
The dentist and the braces offices are amazing most of the staff is polite. I do have a problem with the fact that no matter how many times I tell them my child is going by a different name they refuse to change the records or call him by his name. I understand that it's probably not important for them but hearing somebody call you by the proper name always feels better than somebody calling you by a name you don't go by. And yes I've written it on all of the paperwork and I repeatedly tell the nurses every time we're in there that it needs to be changed they don't care.
I don't usually write reviews for businesses I receive services from, but my experience with Apple Valley Dental prompted me to leave a review. The dental work itself was exceptional, with no pain during the procedures. However, the communication and handling of insurance-related questions were lacking. The assistants were great, but one of the two hygienists seemed distracted and struggled with a procedure that adjusts the filling to mesh with the other teeth.
I received a pre-visit call regarding two fillings, but on the day of my appointment, I was surprised to learn that the fillings were for two upper teeth, one of which I wasn't even aware had a cavity. I then had to ask about the tooth that originally caused me pain. After being moved to another room with a different dentist, one filling was done to the upper tooth, and I was referred to their sister clinic for an extraction for the tooth that originally caused me pain. I couldn't believe that I was there for fillings and realized that I wasn't there to receive care for my tooth that was causing me incredible pain.
Throughout my visit, I repeatedly inquired about whether the suggested procedures were covered by my dental benefits through Medicare and if pre-authorization was required for the extraction. The responses I received were inconsistent, and I was not provided with a clear understanding, nothing in writing as this is the norm for other practices that I have received services from in the past.
When I went to the sister clinic, I once again asked about pre-authorization and was told it was not necessary. However, I was asked to pay $86, even though I hadn't had the second cavity filled or my cleaning, which were part of the proposed treatment plan. As a result, I postponed the extraction until I obtained the necessary pre-authorization.
I rescheduled the extraction for the following Thursday, allowing time to get an emergency pre-authorization. I also asked if I needed additional antibiotics to ensure the tooth would be safe from reinfection. The receptionist asked the doctor, and I was told I would be fine if I didn't cancel my appointment again. The following Monday I received a call from the oral surgeons office stating the doctor would not be in office for my scheduled appointment, I was asked if I could come in the following day, not having the nesseccary pre authorization yet and because of my work schedule I could not, would not make it for the following day, the receptionist stated "it's your choice" all things considered I didn't feel that I had a doable option.
Ultimately, I found a new dentist who performed a simple extraction on my first visit, resolving a month-and-a-half-long painful tooth matter. If I had continued with the proposed treatment plan at Apple Valley Dental, I would have incurred significant costs. I encourage others to advocate for themselves and find a dentist that provides clear and concise estimates in writing.
If at all possible stay clear of this place.
Dentist reminds me of a used car salesman tells you what you want to hear with out following thru on words.
How they treated my disabled son, just to get money and never treated his dental needs.... appalling
apple valley dental cuts corners and office mgr won't even return a phone call!!
Iv been in medical field 45 years
This place looks great but treatment of dental needs is subpar!!
This is the nicest dental place were they accept state insurance every other place I have visited in the past did not look anything like this location very happy and satisfied with the work that was done. employees very kind and polite with any questions I had and respectful would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs dental ???? work done.
First time going there, I had an "interesting" interaction with Stephanie front desk. Disrespectful, arrogant, lack of empathy- seems she's on the wrong field. Talking down to patients is not the way to go Stephanie. I don't know if she realizes that because of patients, she has a job. Doctors and assistants are wonderful. Shout out to Dr. Martin and Dulce. I appreciate you greatly.
I'm have been setting in the waiting room an hour and half, So I decide to go check with the receptionist about the wait and see saids I need to be patient, the Dr has fallen behind. She was so rude when I politely inquired. The receptionist I talked to when I first entered the building was real short and snappy as well. Seems like they're all having a bad day,...
