Best WLM Reviews
We stayed here for a few months to attend Packer games in summer and fall of 2024. I booked over 9 months ahead. When we were 10 miles from arriving we got a call saying they gave our spot away. They would find us one but we would have to move in a few days. I specifically told them that we work during the day so we can only move at night. They checked and said that would not be a problem because the temp site did not have someone in it until the day after we moved. The day we were to move I went to the office to find out where we were going. She said that the person that is in what was supposed to be our spot had not left yet but as soon as they did (checkout time) we would have to move because someone else was coming in to our temp spot that day. I told the employee that we worked. She did not care in the slightest and just shrugged. I told her that to move we would both have to take off from work. Again, she shrugged. I asked if there was someone I could talk to who would at least apologize to me about the situation. She said, “I am the only one here.” No apology, no empathy, nothing. This was just how our stay started. It only got worse. While this is nice and close for a Packer game, it is not worth it. Lots of permanent residents in rvs from the 80s and before. Sites are not close to level. The people next to us were staying in an early 80s bus with no water and a hole in the floor. They banged, sawed, welded, etc everyday. Between that and the fact that it sounds like the highway is right next to you, it was not relaxing at all. Junk everywhere. Do yourself a favor, s stay anywhere else.
We are not full-timers; just passing through on a cross country trip and rely on full-hookups to “stay fresh”. Also, didn’t avail ourselves of water aerobics. We presume because we have a large Super-C, we were placed in the “upper lot” where there is no bath house or sewer hookup. While the walk to the bath house in the lower lot is a lovely stroll through the trees, it is not one I wanted to take at 0630 when I tend to get in. Also, we had to wait till we were leaving to drive through the lower lot to dump our tanks. One reviewer noted great security; we stayed two nights and, while there may have been someone driving through, no one so much as stopped to make sure we were settling in. Pretty park but transient travelers do not seem to be a priority as long-terms that keep sites filled.
Love the pool and morning water aerobics, VERY friendly staff and security patrol. Very accommodating to concerns and needs. Many shaded sites! Free coffee rounds on Saturday.
One of the BEST managed campgrounds we have been to in our 3 years of full time RVing.
We stayed here this past late summer early fall, and overall, it's not a place I would stay again. Here are some of the things we experienced during our two month stay.
1st the pool was very nice during the warmer months. The ladies on the front office are generally nice. There was one lady you just always seemed a little put out, which was disappointing. During our first week, we learned that they do a pump out for sewage, and the schedule is very odd, and the time they come is always changing, our tanks were also never emptied fully which did cause some stress for our grey tank.
Our first week there, I called the office to see what time the tanks got emptied since I had never seen a setup like this before. When the dump guy finally came around, he started yelling at me, saying that I told on him like a child throwing a tantrum. He then began yelling at me and being completely unprofessional. It's shocking that they would hire someone like this.
The spots are extremely close together, and being directly on the interstate, it was incredibly loud and hard to sleep or enjoy your outside area with semi trucks and cars flying by all day and night.
There seems to be a lot of interesting fulltimers at the park (we also fulltime) there were some very obvious drug sites, and one family had a child that was attacking and choking younger kids. It got so bad that no one even had their kids out because it wasn't safe. There were kids cussing and harassing other young ones. Two kids got choked, and one 4 year old passed out because of it...
I couldn't even let my kids ride their bikes around the park because it wasn't safe for them. Many parents complained to the office, and their response was it's up to the parents to handle it... it got so bad that a cop was doing rounds for about a week.
The smells here are pretty unbreable. Between the smell of them dumping the tanks and the cow farm up wind, it was very unenjoyable.
We only stayed as long as we did because we had family in the area. Overall, I would never stay here again.
They also charge for showers that aren't cleaned regularly. every time we went, they were dirty, and they ate your quarters. I gave two stars since the pool was nice, but honestly, that was the only part that was nice. Even the park is rundown and old.
Just okay. The pool area and store by the main office were decent, but the sites are tight together and they allow a lot of old run down rigs to sit at seasonal sites. One motor home was filled with trash up to the roof and the owner didn't bother to close the curtains. There didn't seem to be many rules on keeping your site looking nice.
Staff is excellent, weekender campers are nice and friendly. Most seasonal campers are friendly and keep their campsite and camper looking clean and tidy. The problem is with a few seasonal campers that has their site littered all day and night, campers are green with mold and smells of sewage and stagnant water and camping on a hot July weekend is not very pleasant.
Staff please walk or golf cart ride your campground twice daily and inspect for cleanliness and odor or these few will soon change into your whole business being unpleasant experience.
It's near a farm so yeah farm smells but who cares your camping
i love it here pit bull freundly and if you have a stalker or any other issues they have built in security team . Cute store for need if you don't want to go in town. The bring you coffe friendly staff the grounds are well taken care of its a cut country spot. Next to a golf course. Must see.
I called a week prior, to ask if the flooding issue as resolved that occurred a week before our stay. When we arrived with our 3 young children and 26ft TT, the site was all mud, with pools of water that never went away all weekend. there where 3 safety cones in front of our site where water was bubbling up all weekend, keeping our site wet, damp, muddy, musty and gross. Thankfully, we had great neighbors that saw our issue and made it known that we were welcome to walk through their site for the weekend to avoid getting wet. The campground itself is small, and campsites are VERY close together. not a place to go if you want room to yourself. pool was nice, but small. Common pavilion area always had trash laying around. More than a few of the seasonal site camp rigs where in much need of repair. We did not visit the store or arcade, so cant give an opinion of those areas. The site we had was close to the highway, which in-and-of-itself isn't the problem, its the dump-trucks that Jake-brake all day!!! its really loud! Then you have the people that drive by and honk their horn and yell/wave. maybe they are being friendly, but after hearing that 7x a day between the dump trucks and GFL semi's, it gets old.
