Best WLM Reviews
I wanted to take a moment to commend our waitress. My family and I went to the restaurant yesterday. Our waitress was welcoming and truly accommodating to our requests, making our experience enjoyable. I have no complaints about her service; she was fantastic. The only issue I encountered was with my sirloin steak. I had requested it extra well done, but it arrived looking more like medium well, and I didn’t mention it to her because I didn't want to complain. Additionally, my husband ordered the home fries, but he didn’t like the taste.
Large clean restaurant. When our waitress wasn’t taking care of us, she was pulling the booth benches and tables out from the wall, and mopping. This is the first time that I have ever been in an Apple Barrel Restaurant. Very dated interior. A reviewer reported that this used to be a Chinese restaurant. Yeah, I can see that.
My wife ordered a fish sandwich, and it indeed was a fish sandwich. Overloaded with fish. Three large cod fillets with lettuce and a choice of bread. Sourdough for her with a side of crispy coated fries. A big fish sandwich. I had the Triple Decker (Club) also with the sourdough, and a side of chicken noodle soup. Check the pictures. The fish and the fries were the fast-food type from frozen, pre coated. The Triple Decker was also a good-sized serving of food. I doubt if the chicken noodle soup was made from scratch. The food was served fresh and hot.
This Apple Barrel seems to be more of a fast-food type diner versus a from scratch prepared food type cafe. The meals were good, as was the service from Hannah.
The winner of today's best table top advertising was All-Briton Plumbing. See pic.
Down home cooking. Wide selection of options. All day breakfast options as well as other entree types. Portion sizes were generous and prices were good. I was excited to see liver and onions on the menu. Was a nostalgic meal, and did not disappoint. The tables are fun with local businesses in the surface. Waitress was friendly and attentive.
I ordered the smoked pork chop dinner.
I've ordered this same dish many times at a different Apple barrel which They are 2 thick, very tender & juicy. Lots of favor...
I was very disappointed in this dish tonight @ Broken arrow on 101st and elm.
My pork chops were 4 thin, dry , not juicy and not much favor other then burn favor..
Who ever prepped this dish, I hope they were a new cook.
As far as take out goes... great American food place. Easy to order and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We ordered two full meals and dessert. Yummy.
Upon returning to Dine-In… they just keep getting better… Loved the cup-of-soup and the special, Smothered Chicken. My daughter’s spud (converted in meat) was so much, she had to take half of it home.
Enjoy this place.
First of all, the servers are always pleasant and cheerful, like they genuinely enjoy their job. Super knowledgeable about a large menu with many delicious options.
The management team is always walking around the restaurant delivering food and coffee, while checking on people and asking how they are.
The food is fantastic, and a great bargain. The sweet and savory is a favorite for my kids, which includes mounds of bacon, eggs, hash browns, and a ‘mini’ (it’s not mini) cinnamon roll, all at a great price!
We can’t go anywhere as a family and leave this full and happy, with leftovers and not at a huge cost.
Absolutely love this place!!
My daughter and I are new to the area and came here for breakfast last week. We both had the snow cone biscuits and gravy with eggs and sausage on top. It was fantastic! The prices seemed fair, the service was good, and the atmosphere was perfect for the type of food they serve. We will definitely be back.
The food was pretty good. We went on mother's Day so it was rather busy. I was satisfied, we started with fried green beans they were delicious, I had catfish & baked potato, the baked potato was hard. My son had chicken fried steak and his girlfriend had chicken tenders she did not like her tenders and my son said the chicken fried steak was pretty good. For the 3 plates, appetizer two teas and a water it was $54 before tip. I will be giving it another try probably when they're not so busy.
