Best WLM Reviews

I went here today 12/12/24. The wait was 15 minutes on a Saturday without an appointment. Meredith was awesome. The experience there was wonderful. I highly recommend that you go here instead of the other walk in orthopedic place.
I was treated with respect and all staff members were friendly and informative and professional. The Dr. sat patiently and explained everything to me in detail about what we would do next. After 10 surgeries all over my body, I know when my best interest is being looked after by these folks. I highly recommend putting your faith in Appalachian Orthopedic.
Dr Rothy analyzed my X-rays in conjunction with the symptoms I was experiencing and presented me with a treatment plan that was easy to understand and follow. I’m looking forward to relieving my hip and lower back pain. I will follow up in 6 weeks if this does not resolve my issues. I was very happy with all staff I encountered during my visit. It was efficient without feeling rushed at all.
Office staff was super nice and helpful.
Saw "Dr." Ben Knox. He retired a few months after I saw him and I am super happy about that. His piss poor, uncaring bedside manner was terrible. He obviously didn't care and didn't do a bit to help me.
Give them a try, as their other doctors may be good. You won't have to worry about seeing Knox since he's gone!
5 Stars to the office for their friendliness.
0 Stars to Knox.
I went to the urgent care walk-in clinic for persistent hand pain after a bicycle fall. The staff were all helpful. Got x-rays immediately. Tavis went over the X-rays with me right after their completion. He made the appropriate diagnosis and management plan promptly. I’m grateful.
Dr. Rothy was most informative with my condition. He asked me first, I gave him my best recollection, he then proceeded to show me the x-rays (which were much more thorough than any time I had x-rays before). He then, in no rush to get me out, showed me the most precise reason for my pain and options I have to resolve my problem. My choice was to take a shot, which has reduced my knee pain quite a bit then work on weight loss to correct my issues. I only want doctors who listen, inform and advise and this man did it all. I would be proud to recommend Dr. Rothy to you for your orthopedic needs.
After a 2 pm appointment with a 1:45 check in time, I was seen by staff, in a room by 3:20 p.m. I was able to perform my handwork of choice while waiting as I was prepared to do. I was checking out by 4 p.m.
The staff worked efficiently while taking patients back after cleaning the used rooms by previous patients. The staff politely treated each patient, listened to their spoken needs and directed them efficiently & effectively to a seat, or the elevators for a fiwnstairs physycian. The lobby was nearly always filled with patients and their caregivers/partners. I heard many stories of comparing both knees at once v.s 1 knee repair at a time. The people seemed to be relaxed enough & willing to be congenial to visit with others unknown to them prior to their arrival.
During my visit, after my provider apologized for the lengthy wait, adding that sometimes family had more questions than the patients, I certainly accepted his apology. I am a Retired RN with over 5 recent years as a Home Care & Hospice Home Travel Nurse and have experienced many conversations with post-op patients going through their 1st & last DPT VISITS ( Dr of Physical Therapy), + experiences from OUT-Patient PT.
My office visit with my ptovider was directly aimed at answering my questions, then I received my treatment.
Personally, being retired, I have no problem waiting at a very busy physicians ' office, even though the appointments were getting backed up. I never felt this physicians is ever rushed when directiing his care with me.
Dr. Mckinney, did and absolutely wonderful knee surgery on my teenage son. I was very impressed with his professionalism and skill set. He personally answered a mass email from my wife with a simple response to her concerns about our son. He evaluated and performed the surgery in a very timely manner. Thanks Dr Mckinney and staff for everything.
