Four of us came to the Appalachian Grill for lunch. It was a first time visit, and we came upon high recommendations from friends. All of our meals were absolutely delicious & prepared perfectly! For an appetizer, we shared Fried Green Tomatoes. I had the Grouper with a Crab Cake. Others had Catfish & 1 had the Appalachian Grill Special. For Dessert we had Key Lime Pie & Creme Brulee.
Our amazing server was Ally. She was very polite, professional and just a Sweetheart. She took excellent care of us. We also got to meet the manager & the owner Jackie. It was great dining experience for all. Highly recommend the Appalachian Grill for lunch or dinner!
This was a very cool restaurant. I came here for a business lunch because my customers said this was one of their favorite restaurants in town. I had the creamy shrimp and grits, which were delicious. Everyone else's food looked really good, too. The staff was friendly and attentive. I definitely want to return and try other entrées.
My wife and I heard it was great here, so decided to come check it out for our anniversary. It did not disappoint! Everything was great! I had the Monte Cristo sandwich which was really good. It was like a dessert sandwich ????. My wife had the Kentucky bourbon salmon and said it was probably the best salmon she’s ever had! Highly recommended!
Once again, Appalachian Grill hits the spot!! 10/10!! My hubby and I adore dropping in to this hidden retreat underneath Church Street. Cartersville is full of secrets and this resturaunt is one of the best! The flavors of each dish pair so well together and their food is always hot and fresh. Never a dull moment here. Thanks again for wonderful service, and a memorable night with delicious food! :)
Great food and good service, food is a little pricey but not bad considering the portion size. The restaurant was quite dark inside and the air conditioning was struggling to keep up, but overall it was a very good meal and we will definitely eat there again when in Cartersville. It can be a little difficult to find if using some GPS systems but it is located underneath the bridge, next to the Booth Western Art Museum. The easiest parking is located directly behind the restaurant.
I went here with my family and the food was fabulous. I had soup, prime rib, Brussels sprouts and a cocktail. My son-in-law had one of their specialties that had kielbasa, sausage, and skewers of other meat over spinach and potatoes with a hollandaise type sauce on it which also tasted good. The service was excellent, and the restaurant was very clean. Definitely worth going to when in Cartersville. Great location and food.
Completely unimpressed. We tried a new place, and we will not be back.
We were told 40 minutes for the wait and waited over 50 minutes. Not awful but incorrectly quotes nonetheless. We enjoyed the atmosphere but that was all. When we were walking to the table a waitress rounded a corner and almost ran into me and my four year old and didn’t even acknowledge us at all. We were told there were no children’s drinks… no milk, juice, lemonade etc. we were told their was 7 up or tea… They charge high prices yet they serve sub par food and serve drinks in a can. Appetizer: we got pickles & pups (hush puppies). The portion size was decent but the quality of all the food was not good. The hushpuppies honestly tasted weird. None of us ate them beyond a bite. They even had a weird smell. We sat them on a plate at the edge of the table untouched. The pickles were fine. The batter was very plain so it honestly just felt like eating a regular pickle opposed to fried pickles. My husband got the ribeye. The mashed potatoes were not seasoned and bland. The steak was cooked the correct temperature but was under seasoned and was not a good cut. Extremely tough and difficult to cut. I had the blue grass burger and it was super dry. It didn’t have any sort of sauce and it was supposed to come with cheese and there was the tiniest drop of cheese on it. The baked potato was large but came with light toppings. Our sides came out wrong but were corrected. Our server came as soon as we got our food and then never came back to the table. We needed salt, pepper, toppings for potato, ice and she never came back. The hostess brought us togo boxes and another server took our plates because our server was MIA. She finally came with our bill 15 minutes after we were done. The bathrooms are just one toilet for men and another for women and the women’s bathroom was overflowing with dirty wet toilet paper and poop in the toilet and floor with an overflowing trashcan so we had to use the men’s which still was not very clean. Not once did our server ask how any of our food was and the food was just not good especially not for the price. We will not be back. On the way out the same server from when we arrived rounded a corner and almost ran into us. I said oh sorry excuse us politely and she just walked by and didn’t say sorry excuse me, anything. I have been in the service industry my entire life as a server and or service manager and I was absolutely unimpressed.
Had a late lunch there on Saturday, 12/14. Seated immediately and served promptly. Food was incredible as was the service. We've been multiple times over the years, and it is always a wonderful experience.
