Best WLM Reviews

What can I say? Well....this is by far the best Mediterranean food I have had in years.
The setting is definitely on the high end side but it is very relaxed inside. The bar filled up real fast as it got closer to dinner (college football was being showed on the televisions).
If you aren't used to it the price of some of the menu items can be a little shocking but believe me when I say that not only do you get more food for the money you also get quality ingredients although I wish I got a few more grilled mushrooms with my gyro platter.
Beautiful places, great service, and fantastic food...who could ask for?
If you love Mediterranean cuisine then I definitely recommend going to Apollonia Grill.
Everything about the food was delicious! I had the special of the day: the pasta; and some garlic hummus! Haven’t had some great Mediterranean food in a long time and this was a very pleasant dining experience! Will definitely recommend to friends and will be coming back in the future!
Wow ! Love this place ! The host Mateo was so nice. I just started talking to him then I sat down and I can’t believe it. I didn’t even notice place was here cause I’m in this area a lot when I visit! The food is amazing.! The fisherman soup was unbelievable! The salmon with Beet salad was so fresh. I mean everything is good. The waiter such a nice guy.Camilo A class act!! Also had the pleasure to meet the manager, Jen she’s so nice. I mean with the staff is really good. The food is really good. It all came together and it’s pretty wild because I know the restaurant business and it’s really hard right now but this place is doing great and it deserves all the best !! All good people here and the food is amazing. We will be back !!!!!
One of my favorite spots to visit when I’m in town. Convenient to get to and the shrimp and orzo dish is to die for. Drinks are hit or miss but the food and service are great.
Excellent first time experience!
Thank you Matt for your wonderful recommendations.
Highly recommended the Burrata Flatbread. I got the Filet Apollonia Kebabs, steak was seasoned perfectly and unbelievably tender!
Bravo!????????
If you are looking for authentic, delicious Greek food look no further. Oh my goodness- this place is amazing! We spent the week in Sarasota and since we were on vacation we ate out several times- this place was by far the BEST! The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is pleasant and the service is good. Alejandra did a great job waiting on us; she was very attentive and kind. Our food was excellent- some of the best lamb I’ve had. Our martinis were very good also! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
THIRD UPDATE:
This establishment has delivered more good than not in the dozen times we've visited. One afternoon, I ordered and enjoyed the delicious Chicken Lemon Rice soup, and suddenly felt ill. The bartender canceled the rest of our order, comp'd the soup, and told us she looked forward to next time. Disappointed we had to leave, but extremely grateful for the exceptional service. Management could take a lesson from this bartender!
UPDATED REVIEW. Once a 5-star review, this is a 2-star review given today's experience. 2-13-2024
We were thrilled to return to make a 40-minute drive to enjoy lunch at one of our favorite restaurants today. Sitting at our usual spot, we encountered met a server new to us. We tried to order our usual: Greek Fries and Beet Salad. We were told Greek Fries are only served during Happy Hour. How difficult would it be to toss some Feta cheese on top of the fries, we wondered. Since we thought the server was new, we asked if we could speak with the Manager.
Quite a while later, a woman who was visiting with two gentlemen at the bar made her way over to us. I greeted her with a smile and asked if she was the Manager. She did not return my smile, nor introduce herself, and her tone was matter-of-fact. She launched into “Greek Fries are served at Happy Hour only. They’re really popular, but they are only on our Happy Hour menu, but the kitchen will make them for you.” We thanked her and smiled again. That makes it twice that she didn’t smile in return. As she was leaving, I asked her name. “Jen,” and she was gone. (As an aside, if the Greek Fries are so popular, why not add them to the full menu?)
Our modified order, featuring a lamb patty and a Chicken Ciabatta that turned out overcooked and dry, was delivered by our server, who then disappeared. Throughout our meal, both the server and Manager, Jen, were engrossed in a wine tasting with wine reps at the bar, neglecting to check on us. (Check out the photos.) This starkly contrasted with our usual positive experiences at the restaurant's bar, leading us to reconsider the once-glowing 5-star review.
INITIAL REVIEW
I grew up on authentic Mediterranean cuisine in the suburbs of Metro Detroit. Since moving to Sarasota 10 years ago, I've searched for the food I so miss from our hometown. This is the best restaurant for elevated authentic Mediterranean fare. I just wish I would have found it 10 years ago! Excellent service, delicious Chicken Lemon Rice soup, and hands down the world's best beet salad.
One of our favorite places to stop when in the area. The food is always fresh, tasty, and well presented. Their hummus is right up there with the best I have had. The fresh bread that they serve at the table is also always warm and soft fresh and delicious. The moussaka is always a favorite. During our last visit, we decided to try something different. I have also had the artichoke chicken in the past which is, really good. On this visit, I opted for the chicken kebab and my other half chose one of the specials which was the stuffed pork chop. I also enjoyed a medusa martini during happy hour which was spectacular! So fresh delicious reminded me of a spa. A healthy cocktail that includes a cucumber.???? Service is always prompt and pleasant. Even their vegetables are good. I absolutely love the grilled zucchini with the chicken kebabs.
