My family and I had to stay here for a couple weeks while we wait to sign a lease. Super friendly staff, and clean rooms. They also accept pets! Not only do they accept pets but they have trash bins and bags for you to clean up after your pets, SUPER clean grass areas, a small grill is outside as well, small laundry room on site, vending machine, ice machine. Coffee in the office in the morning.
I have 2 big dogs, one is blind and was very uncomfortable at a different hotel we tried before going here. After relocating to motel 6 she did fantastic, she enjoys going outside, and again the grass areas are super clean! Kids are comfortable, pets are comfortable, the area is in a safe location. I truly have zero complaints.
(Side note I've worked in housekeeping for over 10 years so I've seen many hotels that are not kept up with, motel 6 is not one of them)
Friendly staff and convenient location, BUT it's been a awful experience trying to get the refund they promised me.
The details are below, but MY ADVICE: If you are uncertain your room will be acceptable, such as you want to make sure it's non-smoking, ask to go into your room BEFORE you pay with a credit card.
We checked in but never stayed there because the rooms were too smoky. It's now 1 month later and I'm still trying to get the room charge credited back, after 3 phone calls with broken promises that they'd refund me each time.
REVIEW UPDATED 9/4/24:
A CHECK FOR THE ROOM CHARGE ARRIVED IN THE MAIL TODAY WITH A LETTER OF APOLOGY. I'M NOT SURE WHAT TRIGGERED IT. MAYBE IT WAS THIS REVIEW OR THE DISPUTE I FILED WITH THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY. SO BECAUSE THEY EVENTUALLY ISSUED ME A REFUND (AFTER OVER 1 1/2 MONTHS OF WAITING), I'VE RAISED THIS REVIEW FROM 1 STAR TO 2.
Details:
-We checked in and paid for the room and $50 security deposit with or credit card. We went into our non-smoking room but it was pretty smoky so we returned to the front desk and she gave us a key to a 2nd room to try. It was also smoky so I returned again and explained that my wife is very allergic to smoke, and that I'm sorry but can we can't stay there and can we cancel the charge and I'll go try to find a different hotel.
-The lady said sure, but that she couldn't issue a credit to our card due to some technical issue but she promised that she'd write a note to the manager who will issue the credit the next morning.
-6 days later I saw the original charge on my credit card statement but they had not issued a credit to offset it. I called and they said the $50 security deposit credit should show up soon (which it did, 10 days after we paid), but they said they can't issue a credit to my card for the room charge because of some admin reason, but they'd mail me a check that day. I made sure they had my correct address.
-After another 11 days of waiting for the check to show up in the mail, I called again. I was told that the lady who issued credits had been out but she just got back and she'd be mailing checks tomorrow.
-It's now been 1 month and I've given up calling them. It's crazy, because I'm just asking for a refund for the room because we never stayed there! So after trying to politely work with APM in Winchester, I've been forced to put a dispute in with the credit card company so fingers crossed on that.
We were just looking for someplace to sleep while in town to visit family. The front desk staff was very nice and accommodating. The room we stayed in was very run down. Paint was peeling on the ceiling, the sink counter was cracked and jagged, no toilet paper roll holder, large gap under the door, lots of people loitering and were likely regular tenants. The toilet ran constantly even aft er jiggling the handle. The laminate shony stuff was peeling off the furniture. I will say that the towels were clean as well as the sheets, but I would likely not stay here again.
great little independent motel, old-ish but clean. the building itself is solid af so it was very quiet; staff service was excellent :)
It's a great place to stay if you're on vacation or just need a get away .
I think this is a very nice establishment. I would come back the front office working are very nice and welcoming room are clean and very comfortable. The manager Amanda is very nice and sweet to all guests she does everything she can to keep
guests happy. I would refer people to stay here I stayed in room 107. I would come back anytime
This place is pretty sketchy, lots of people loitering around. Looks like long term tenants down on their luck. I wasn't expecting to the rooms to be fancy or new, but I was expecting them to be clean, which they were not. I always check under the mattress for signs of bedbugs anywhere I go, and this place had all sorts of debris under the mattress. I left and chose not to stay.
I am currently staying at the APM Inn and Suites and the property itself is maintained, in pretty good condition. The staff is cool and they actually don't give you a hard time unless you're doing something that's not allowed, I mean come on, we're adults. Other than that, I'm enjoying my stay. Still kinda wondering what's up with the indoor pool and hot tub???? Thanks!
