This is a good campground. Reasonable prices, AARP discount and much less of a big corporate business model compared to Myrtle Beach Travel Park right down the road. Love the pier. The restaurant leaves a lot to be desired though. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Had a great week, EXCEPT for one thing. A few days in, the campground set up a camper for a couple coming in. They put it very close to our camper. I felt this was unnecessary and expressed my view to the worker. I was ignored. It was disappointing, but we still enjoyed our stay. We love the campground and have been coming here for years. Love the pier restaurant, Groupers. The bathrooms are clean enough, there’s a pool, store, and of course the beach! Everyone is very friendly, and the campground is clean and well kept. The location is fantastic. It’s right off restaurant row. There’s a Kroger, Walmart, and outlet mall within a mile. Close to North Myrtle and easy access to roads to South Myrtle and the rest of the Grand Strand. Prices are reasonable. We stayed a week for less than $600 in a pull through site.
They have a great location but way too many speed bumps. The pier is great to walk out onto in the morning. You will be woken up by yapping dogs because most owners just stick them outside all day and night. If you come back late, the guy that's usually at the gaurd shack will most definetly try to have an ego trip with you. I wish the staff were nicer but it's a nice place to stay while you visit Myrtle.
IFY at best is the perfect way to describe this place. Front desk manager is rude and talks down to you. No locks on bathrooms and broken shower fixtures. Sites are packed in tight and nothing special. I travel all over the US and have memberships with national chains but like to support family business. That is a huge mistake with this campground. I have never left anyone a negative review like this but I want to save others from the bad service and over priced camping.
We had a great stay while on vacation with family. We stayed on the RV campgrounds with our own RV. The space was decent sized & level, short walk to the beach, very clean & air conditioned bathrooms. Ladies in the office were helpful & kind. If I had 1 complaint, it would be the security guard on duty...not friendly, impatient & brash. Wouldn't let him stop us from coming back again tho!
I have been coming to this campground ever since I was a child with my entire family and it was always such a wonderful place however in recent years I’ve had nothing but trouble and my family has as well but I can only speak on my issues. It seems every unit I’ve rented (5) in the past 4 years has some kind of issue. First unit that started it all had bed bugs, it ruined the entire vacation. Staff was incredibly rude and no refund or help was offered, they simply moved us and put someone else in that unit directly after us. I kept trying because this campground was very dear to my heart and I figured it was a one time problem, maybe they fixed it, I wasn’t sure so I let it go. The second, third and fourth units were falling apart, cabinets and drawers falling off, doors not wanting to open, shower was destroyed in basically every unit I stayed in, there was some type of damage preventing you from properly using what you paid for. Staff is very friendly until you have an issue then act as if it isn’t their problem. Final unit was once again damaged and filthy, nest of roaches and a pile of used kitty litter in the backyard basically covering the hose. Under every couch, bed and table was pure filth, food, wrappings, bugs everywhere! The dishes had food on them, the linens clearly hadn’t been changed, I mean it was just disgusting. We left halfway through our trip I couldn’t get it clean enough and I just gave up and left the unit as is, forfeiting my security deposit. A warning to others that if you have any issues like this, there will be no help from staff and a refund is out of the question. None of my family will ever go back.
Had a great spot 1 nite right up at beach. Nice baths too- walked the whole park w our dogs in morning and only negative is everyone’s on top of each other…cramped. We had one of wider spots but still small
This campground is awesome. The staff is amazing and so friendly. It really shows they want you to have a good experience. We did the loop raft and it was so fun. The only downside is there is not a lot of places to fish at the lake. We will definitely be going back anytime we are in MO.
