There was 4 men at the hibachi table with myself and my coworker and the men were given huge portions of rice compared to our portions. our chef did not speak nor did he do anything that usual hibachis do. We never got a refill on our drinks and we were never even asked if we needed one.
This was our second time here, and we really love the taste of the food.
Service was a little off since the restaurant wasn’t busy but once we got our food we enjoyed every minute.
The calamari is very crunchy and delicious with or without sauce. But the sauce is very good too.
My dish was a chicken hibachi and even though I forgot to ask not to put too much sauce it was still just delicious.
My husband ordered an Ainu fried rice and the taste is much better than others we have tried before.
In general we really enjoy eating here, a good place to visit and have delicious and tasty food.
Servers yelled at us multiple times. Not just our server but the cook and another server yelled at us. Me and my friend were scared to be here because we were getting screamed at and they were all so rude. Food didn’t even come out right or taste good at all! NEVER COME HERE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
The culinary experience was great, and the skilled chef who cooked the Hibachi in front of us was both funny and impressive. It's fantastic to have such a gem in Johns Creek.
Moreso, the service was exceptional and the staff was extremely nice and welcoming.
Keep up the excellent work, Aomi!
The food is decent. However, the customer service is bad. They are not good at being attentive whenever you need anything. I have gotten up to look for a waiter when they should be asking every now and then if we need anything. They walk away after sitting you down and only come back to give you the tab which sucks bc the tip is added to your check automatically when they do not deserve it.
Love Aomi Japanese Restaurant!
Atmosphere: Nice - mixture between casual with family/friends and dress to impress for business or date night.
Food: Each visit I get the chicken, shrimp and steak hibachi - healthy option. The sushi is great and is fixed at a sit and viewable counter.
Service: Customer Service is great! Never have to wonder if the wait staff is available. When one person moves to service a patron, another wait staff replaces that person until they return to their waiting position.
We had a great time. The food was great and the prices were reasonable. Really loved the chef as he was efficient and a bit funny. Nothing was over the top and we got to eat quickly with no problems. I would recommend this Hibachi over others any day.
We went for the first time in years. They had the grill open, and quite busy actually. It was fun. The food wasn't amazing, but it was good, and I'd go back. One issue we had were that our kid didn't like any of the food really, it's new for him, but he did like the fun drink with the marble in it. The only real problem with the restaurant was that the bathroom was in super bad shape. There is another review showing a bucket for the trash, bad light, bad faucet, etc, and it's still there. That is not ok and makes you wonder about the back of the house. I'd give them another shot later, but everything must be better by then. Oh, and their beer selection is really poor, I hope they work on that too.
