For being so inexpensive, this hotel was super nice. Me and my boyfriend stayed here for the weekend and it was a great experience. The staff were great, very personable and kind, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. There was no sign of any mold or bugs or anything bad. The bed was super warm and comfy, there was a bunch of storage, and the water pressure in the shower was very nice.
Overall an amazing experience, I would definitely recommend staying here.
Was visiting Scranton for the Motionless In White festival and we stayed here. The rooms were nice and the staff was pleasant. Especially a guy name Christian or Christin I don't fully remember his name. But he was always joyful and cracking jokes when I saw him every morning. Was kinda sad when he wasn't working when I checked out. It was such great place to stay
My friends and I stayed here over Halloween for a concert happening nearby. All of the staff were super friendly and wonderful but especially Christian and Friday! Truly just the sweetest people I've ever met, they both helped me get my friends on the same floor or as close to it as they could and it made our whole weekend so much easier ???? Next year I will definitely be staying here again!
Lady up front had a sour, unwelcoming attitude. Zero eye contact. The ac/heater wouldn't turn on. The bed was a rock. The hot water lasted barely 4 minutes. 100 bucks for a single bed was a good price, but I see why. 12 hours of driving and I could've slept in my truck and probably been more comfortable. The room itself was fine, clean-ish. I travel a lot and have seen much worse.
I will add the guy at the front at checkout was super nice, but the rest, nothing to write home about.
From when we checked in the first girl was polite helpful friendly, than Friday the overnight front desk girl was a doll!!! We chatted about books and movies and it was just what I needed to keep my mind off things and why I came to stay here! She is so nice and sweet! The young man after her, unsure of his name sorry, beard and glasses, was also super friendly and held a conversation not just a hi bye and even remembered my name later on when I saw him again and addressed me as so! A girl was coming in as he was there and she was friendly also!!! We stay at hotels all over the US and these are by far the most friendly employees, keep them, nobody seems to care about their jobs anymore and are usually miserable, you have a great staff!!!! Beds where comfortable, everything was clean, only downfall was hot tub not open but things happen and it didn’t deter us!
Front desk staff was friendly and the hotel is in a great location but I had some problems during my 5 day stay:
• room door was hard to open the entire time I was there. Requested maintenance and they worked on it but it didn't get any better.
• they ran out of breakfast supplies (i.e. yogurt, OJ) two days in a row.
The good: front desk staff is wonderful.
The awful: I have never left a hotel in disgust before this. I didn’t even ask for a refund, I just wanted to get out. To the hotel’s defense, I didn’t even bother checking with the front staff about changing rooms because I was so grossed out. BLOOD smears on my bed, pee stains all over the sheets, a random Cheeto on the carpet which tells me they don’t vacuum, the fridge is rusting and had an ice pack in the freezer. I always check my rooms for bed bugs and that was shockingly the only thing I DIDN’T find. The beds were visibly made and tucked which tells me that, yes, housekeeping deemed this a “clean” room. I left within 10 mins of being there and went to the courtyard a few mins away.
Let me start by saying for the price its definitely well worth it. Tristan was at the front desk & welcomed me and my party right on in he was friendly polite down to earth and informative on all my questions, another great staff was Cassie, now the rooms where clean and comfy but the bathroom definitely needs upgrading but all and all my stay was nice and just what i needed. The Saturday night R&B Poetry was a good time for entertainment on a Saturday evening at the hotel. keep up the good work staff and dont change the personality of the business AND THERE YOU HAVE YOUR BLK GIRL REVIEW
