I was pleasantly surprised!
This location has a small dining area, but the food is delicious nonetheless. The flavors aren't particularly wild, but they are great for when you're craving a good sandwich!
The dining area is wheelchair accessible.
Had the muffaletta today. Great sandwich! Also got a red for a friend I was meeting who was uninitiated.
Clean store, courteous and friendly staff.
I also inquired about the return of the spinach purs from the 80s and 90s.
Always look forward to coming back.
I’ve been to this location twice, and the menu items I ordered were good quality, they just didn’t taste spectacular. I ordered sandwiches both times. The second time, I ordered the vegan sandwich. I was disappointed, because I wanted to like it.
The ingredients of the sandwich were excellent, but the sandwich itself was dry. The only sauce in the sandwich was hummus, and that wasn’t enough. It needed something spicy/sweet to set it off. I didn’t like the bread, either. The outer crust was rubbery and tough to bite into. The inside tasted like you were chewing cotton balls.
I prefer light and crispy bread that collapses when you bite into it—New Orleans style sub bread. If you know, well, you know.????????♀️ I won’t visit this place a third time, unfortunately.????????
Original Sandwich, not freshly made. I went through the drive thru to ensure that my food would be fresh and it wasn't.
This was the first time I was ever handed a not so good sandwich. I was disappointed.
I told myself I was going to eat a freshly made sandwich from Antone's today and I got soggy bread, old chow chow, the meats and cheese were sticking to the bread. The pickles were even dry.
I cut it in half with a fork, normally that is impossible because of the fresh bread.
I was disappointed. I bought my daughter a turkey and Swiss so she can have it later. I'm afraid to open it and be disappointed too.
I would like to do over this experience, it could have been better.
⭐️⭐️⭐️It was our first time to visit and after telling the nice man that he was so very helpful and patient as I was asking a million questions. Absolutely LOVED the Muffuletta! The bread was so soft even when toasted! My husband tried the Tex-Mex Cheesesteak and devoured it! We will definitely be lifers after that experience. Even grabbed the catering menu ???????????? ⭐️
Longtime Houston Favorite..Antones Sandwichs are sold in grocery stores all over town. For the best taste and quality you cant beat a freshly made Sandwich ordered in the shop. My favorite is the Super..cut in half to take home after I dine IN.. the pleasant ambiance of the home store..served with chips and a nice sweet tea...and a side of excellent gumbo..the sandwich lasts in the fridge 4 days from date it was made..I usually eat a half and save some for lunch or dinner..Sandwiches are listed at 900 calories..so half a sandwich is 450 or so..take home some of thier famous chow-chow in a jar which can be used on virtually anything you eat..or add more to your grocery store bought sandwich..Carried by Kroger..Randals..HEB..delicious..if you aren't hungry by now then read this review again..get in your car and go get sum..
I got the tex mex Philly cheese steak sandwich! I was very skeptical at first but man this hit the spot, I have to try a few more before I can say they’re better then papa genos but so far it’s just as delicious and fulfilling! Not going to lie the Cubano looks even better then this so might get that next time! The only thing is this place doesn’t have condiments so kinda threw me off but the jalapeño on the side was different and I liked that so all in all I give it a 8 out of 10 for the flavor and 10 out of 10 for the quick speedy service! Very quiet and friendly environment!
Ive always bought their sandwiches from heb which are good. Going and having a fresh made sandwich is so much better. The freshness from the bread to the meat is perfection. Its a few dollars more than the premade sandwiches, but it so worth it. The decor matches well with the theme. Spaced out and easy to navigate. Knowledgeable staff helped me pick out the right sandwich.
