Absolutely delicious Douthat and central American cuisine. Authentic dishes. Chicken stew was amazing. They also have pupusas and baleadas. A must try if your looking for Authentic cuisine.
Food is okay on a good day, but man the wait time is ridiculous, especially when ordering drinks!! I mean really it takes 20-30 minutes to bring us our drinks? You can tell the waitresses do not like there job, and seem tend to people who come in after you!! The place is never full and they still seem to take eternity to bring out orders, im all about giving tips… but this place makes it seem as if they dont want your money!!! Place has potential but are in desperate need of new waiters and new atmosphere, its so depressing and they make sure to show it!!
A very tasty Honduran/South American restaurant. I had pupusas, a pork tamale, and the yuca fries. Everything was good. Not my favorite pupusas or tamale, but definitely good and worth the price. Very nice waitresses, as well.
4 stars for food
3 stars for atmosphere + service
Good:
Variety of options.
Prices are decent.
Lunch specials.
Good size portions
Bad:
Building has housed many places, aNd doesn't have a great atmosphere.
Some menu items are not available.
Service can be a bit slow as they run the taKe out and dining room.
Try the pastelitos.
Try some breakfast items.
The platano campesino was delicious! A soft sweet plantain filled with ground beef, beans, crema.
Yuca frita and Chicharron were amazing! Yuca can be tough, but it was crispy and sift in the inside.
Balleadas ate huge tortilla like dough filled with items.
Pupusa are good. Try the chicken.
Winner?
The picked onions, beet, carrots mixture in a jar they brought to the table.
Just try this place with an open mind.
I love the food but the service is very unpleasant and uncomfortable if your a black person. Ive been sitting here for 20mins for bean and cheese in a tortilla ???????????????? when I have my Hispanic friends order they gets fast service they give me the same exact service every time I come here
AMAZING Honduran restaurant. It’s the only restaurant that serves Honduran food around Detroit. Inside was decorated with Honduran decorations and crafts. Went there to grab some lunch, it wasn’t crowded. Ordered a horchata (drink made out of rice) to start, then ordered a carne asada típica. Had a little wait for the food, however it was amazing and tasty. It reminded me back to real Honduran food. The carne asada típica came with meats with chismol (salsa), refried beans, cheese, and fried plantain and later the server brought me the Honduran pickle made out of onion, cabbage, jalapeño and carrots. Prices here are so cheap compare to other Hispanic restaurant I’ve been to. I was able to ordered some pupusas and pastelitos to bring back home. They were amazing and tasty even thou it was in my car for 6hours. Overall, amazing restaurant for food at a great price! Definitely will stop by once I’m back in Detroit.
The ladies run this like coordinated pros. And offer El central and t-shirts too! They know me and a certain friend or two or three.
Great place to eat and try something new. Priced very reseasonable. Plenty of parking.
