Best WLM Reviews

If you don't speak or read in Spanish, this isn't the place for you unless you have one of those little translator devices or apps on your phone. They do not speak English.
That being said, the food is sooooo good. This restaurant serves Ecuadorian cuisine, I think, mostly centered around the Guayas (Guayaquil). It's one of the very few places that serve muchines (fried yucca with cheese inside). The food is pricey, but there's a reason for that. The portions are huge. Be prepared to take a to go bag home. They also have cheaper lunch specials if you go there during a certain time.
Also, the last time I was there, they had bread babies or guaguas de pan. It's decorated sweet bread that's made for dia de los difuntos (aka dia de los muertos). Some traditions in my family were lost, so this was my first time having this bread. It was delicious.
The bill was confusing. If you're going to South America for the first time, I suggest going here first to help prepare you for the differences. The bill was done in a way that South America does it. For example, $5.31 would look like $5,31. This would be a perfect prep place to go. It really does feel like you're in another country when you're in there.
Definitely give it a try if you're in the neighborhood. You'll enjoy yourself.
Feeling the culture of coastal Ecuador when I’m in here, I truly feel at home, the people, the employees, the food. They have an array of Ecuadorian food that many don’t have. The prices are great for the portions they serve. Weekends are busy but I truly enjoy watching the community gather and enjoy their food. Quality of food is great, sometimes I over order because I want to taste everything and end up taking food home for later. I am also very happy to see this business thrive.
Good food and good service. The chicken empanadas are delicious. The rice with shrimp is very delicious and a huge portion worth sharing. The juices and smoothies are good. The restaurant is cozy and seating is comfortable. Food tastes fresh and tasty.
My experience at Antojitos was decent. I am told they usually have better service. However, on this visit, it seemed the server was preocuppied with his phone and we ended up with the wrong orders. The service however was quick and they did correct their mistakes. The food was good and the portion was good also. Make sure to bring money just because most of their meals, if not all, are $$. The food was good overall though.
Love this place ! Food is great and you always feel that home vibe ,small place but clean and good
This restaurant has a delicious variety of food. Plantain ball was delicious. I recommend it.
Excellent food and service, very polite.
A welcoming spot to dine in and stay or order and take out. Consisting of Ecuadorian dishes, that'll surely catch your eye..! I ordered empanadas, both chicken and beef (they have cheese empanadas as well!), and both have a story to tell; The chicken empanada has a unique, sweet, juicy and tender feel to it.. accompanied by the initial crunch of it, from the first bite. I would HIGHLY recommend pouring the hot sauce that comes with it, mixes VERY well together. The only major distinction that the beef empanada has with its chicken counterpart, has to be the texture and sweetness of the broth-like juices within.. which adds to its savoriness. ✨
