Best WLM Reviews

Antoine's is one of the oldest and most iconic restaurants in New Orleans, and we last visited about 20 years ago. The restaurant's ambiance is beautiful and steeped in history, but the menu didn't quite offer the traditional Creole dishes we had hoped for. My husband ordered the Pompano Pontchartrain, which was okay, and I had the French onion soup, winter vegetables, and Shrimp Remoulade. The soup was flavorful with plenty of onions, but the shrimp wasn’t to my liking, and I only had a few bites. Our servers were helpful and attentive, though. Overall, the experience left us a little disappointed.
Have always heard of Antoine's and was so looking forward trying it this evening. Unfortunately it was just very disappointing. Started off with the Seafood Gumbo and it was cold. I didn't say anything. It also just wasn't very good. It also had shrimp shells throughout the gumbo that I had to keep picking out. We also had the Souflee Potatoes, which were underwhelming. And last appetizer was the Oysters Foch which were pretty good. Then for Entrees we got the Chicken Rochambeau and Classic Fish Amondine. Again, the Chicken came out very cold, as well as the rice it was served with. We did bring this to the waiters attention and he apologized and to our surprise they did take it off the bill, which was very kind. The Fish was the best part for sure. And it was actually hot and had great flavor, but the rice and asparagus were cold. Overall just a very disappointing meal for a fine dining establishment. Service was great, so I appreciate that, but the food was just not good. I wouldn't recommend and I can't see any reason to go back again.
Wonderful dinner. Wonderful service. Our waitress Jessie and waiter Roland were attentive, informative and efficient. We never felt rushed and any questions we had about the menu were easily answered. The food came out at a nice pace, not too fast, not slow and not all at once. The food was delicious. We asked if we could look around at the other rooms and were encouraged to do so. Our waiter even gave us a tour with history and insight on the restaurant. It truly was a fine dining experience. Thank you!
The vibe is the place is Old. Old place ... Old decor ... Old interior .. Mostly old customers.
The Oysters Rockers were amazing. But the baked Alaska was supposed to be lit up, which they didn't,
I went there because it's $
An Unforgettable Afternoon with Roland at Antoine’s!!
From the moment we stepped into Antoine’s, we knew we were in for a memorable dining experience, but it was our server, Roland, who truly made our visit exceptional. His passion for the restaurant and its rich history was evident as he graciously guided us on a tour of the stunning establishment. Each room in Antoine’s has its own story, and Roland told these tales with enthusiasm, allowing us to appreciate not just the meal we were about to enjoy, but the legacy of the place itself.
Roland’s attentiveness and warmth were unparalleled. He approached us with genuine enthusiasm, answering our questions and making recommendations that perfectly catered to our tastes. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he helped us navigate through the delightful array of dishes, ensuring we didn’t miss out on some of the restaurant’s hidden gems.
What truly stood out was Roland's ability to create a personalized experience. He took the time to understand our preferences and made us feel like each moment was crafted just for us. Beyond the impeccable service, his charming demeanor and excellent sense of humor made us feel right at home.
We were so impressed with our experience that we are already planning on booking a private dining experience with Roland for our next visit! We can’t wait to indulge in more culinary delights while enjoying his company once again.
If you're looking for a remarkable experience at Antoine’s, I highly recommend asking for Roland! His dedication to providing an unforgettable evening sets a new standard for excellence in service. Thank you, Roland, for making our afternoon truly special—we can't wait to return!
We went here for lunch and were informed before arriving through the reservation app that there was a dress code, including no shorts or flip flops. However, once we were seated, we noticed several diners not adhering to this, which made the dress code seem like a mere gimmick.
The overall experience was disappointing. We were served our main courses before the appetizers and when the seafood gumbo did arrive, it was almost cold. The quality of the food seemed more like what you’d expect from casual dining, not the upscale experience it was supposed to be.
The service was below average compared to other restaurants we visited in the city. The burger was really good and stood out, but the rest of the food was subpar. We ended up not ordering additional desserts, only having what came with one set menu and were eager to leave. Overall, we did not enjoy the experience.
The only reason I’m giving this restaurant a rating of 2 is because of the ambiance. The restaurant is authentic and nice from the inside.
I brought my mother here the second night of our Eras Tour New Orleans adventure and everything was extraordinary. Brian definitely topped off the experience we can never forget. Best meal ever! Thank you so much for the hospitality and welcoming everyone to your city.
We had an excellent lunch here. Great atmosphere, and the servers were attentive, but not overly. We were told that this was one of the oldest restaurants in the US, having been around for around 175 years, and that some of the dishes on the menu had been there since the early days. It's expensive, for sure, but the quality of the food did not disappoint. In fact, nothing that we ordered fell short of expectations. The shrimp and crab 'duo' starter was delicious, and the oysters Rockefeller were great. I opted for the petit filet entree, which was cooked precisely to order, and my colleagues had the pompano, which they really enjoyed too. Plates of creme brulee plus bread pudding were the perfect finish to what was a fabulous lunch. This place is enormous, and I can highly recommend Antoines to anyone looking for a restaurant steeped in New Orleans history, both culinary and visually.
