Best WLM Reviews
I have been seeing Reuben for quite some time now! She has always done an amazing job with my manicures. She is so detailed and makes sure everything is always perfect. I also have gotten pedicures with her and loved that, too! My sister and mom both see her and we all highly recommend! Most recently I got the cats eye nails that are pictured and have gotten SO many compliments!! :)
Terrible service. I scheduled an appointment for a gel mani/pedi with nail art for my hands (only wanted stripes on a few nails). I was told the person I was scheduled with would be able to do stripes. Not only was the polish sloppy, the person was unable to do stripes. After I complained about the polish, I was then rescheduled with the same person to re-do my polish. I asked for someone else. The other person also couldn’t do stripes and the polish was just as sloppy. The photos are from the first appointment. Needless to say, I do not recommend this place.
I highly recommend Chino at the Brookfield, WI location. I was recommended a year ago to go to him and I’ve been returning for every nail fill since. Some of my favorite things about going to him is that he nails the square shape and length for me every time, he is extremely punctual and efficient, is very kind, and has introduced me to new styles of nails - like this french ombré attached. I am impressed at the extra level of service- he’s always addressed me by name, always has the cell phone stand out and is understanding when I have to take a remote meeting, and remembers the beverage I get every time. Most importantly he has built up my nail underneath to be super strong. When he removes the dip from the previous fill, I can see how long the nail is and it even is strong when the nail is clipped shorter. If you can’t tell - I have so many great things to say.. I highly recommend.
I received a manicure on 5/30/2022 from Tracey N. I arrived on time for my appointment and picked out my dip powder selections prior to being seated. 10 minutes past my appointment start time, I was seated at a manicure station by the receptionist who gave me a bowl to begin soaking off my previous dip powder and a towel to go over my hands and the bowl. I soaked for over 35 minutes… by the time Tracey finally arrived to my station, my fingers had soaked so long, all of the dip was soaked off of my nails. - she asked my color selection at which time I gave her the swatches I picked out. Tracey arrived back with 4 incorrect colors. Instead of making it right, she yelled at me about not being able to bring any more powders to the table and that I would I need to go pick out a new color from the available swatches at the front of the salon. I walked over to the front of the salon to find a different color from the swatches and she hovered over me the entire time I was looking, rushing me along. I eventually chose a dark purple (my original color was a dark navy blue). - Tracey then rushed through my entire manicure. By the time she began my manicure, her next client was already waiting in the waiting room. She rudely cut my nails, filed them roughly and then began to use the dip. After she dipped my nail's and completed the top coat, she decided it would then be a good time to cut my cuticles. I had a bad feeling about it right away and by the time she got to my second finger (ring finger on my right hand) she severely nipped the side of my nail bed (see photo) which then profusely bled for several minutes. She attempted several times to get it to stop bleeding with paper towel and a solution they used for situations such as this. I continually asked her to leave it but Tracey continued to poke at it. Today is now 6/9/2022, one week later and my finger is infected where she nipped my nail bed (see photos). I have been put on both oral and topical antibiotics from my Physician. I work for physicians so my finger was monitored closely over the last week. I covered it, aired it, soaked it, used topical Neosporin and it still got infected. If you do not have the time to properly complete a manicure then have the patron rescheduled with another manicurist. I am 38 years old and I’ve had manicures weekly since the age of 19. Never. EVER. Have I had my cuticle/nail bed clipped. On top of all of this, my manicure isn't the best. This was the second time I’ve been in the salon. The first time was with Hannah who was amazing. If this review were about my experience with Hannah, then it would be 100% different. It's unfortunate how one person can completely ruin an experience for someone which reflects poorly on the entire establishment. Tracey N. Should not be allowed to do manicures at this establishment. I will never return to this place and I will tell as many people as possible about my experience. Who will pay my physicians bill?
7/15/24 update:
I did contact the salon by both speaking to someone at the physical salon and speaking to someone via email at their corporate location. There was never any recompense for my experience. I wasn't offered anything to fix what happened to me. Tracey N. Is still available to book with via their website. I did return to Anthony Vince this past summer for a pedicure because I had a gift card due to expire. I had a pedicure with Mia - who did a fabulous job. My toes had not seen the light of day since winter so it was my first summer pedicure with the nice weather so Mis worked extra hard to get my toes looking fab. If this review were just for her, it would be 5 stars. ⭐️ I apologize to her that the bad outweighs to good. ????
I got a gel polish Pedi and Mani on Friday 3/15/24. When I got home I noticed a few of my nails looked like they had air pockets under the top coat on a few of my finger nails and toes. I called and left a message, no one got back to me. I called the next day
and spoke with a front desk person who said they would speak with management and get back to me, still haven't heard back from anyone. Well today when I got out of the shower this happened, photos below, now I just want my money back????????????
I just went here for the first time and sadly will not be a returning customer. The first photo is what I asked for and the following are what I received. I have had many dipped manicured and none that have ever come out so thick, as well as the finishing too coats coming out bubbly and uneven. The lines that were drawn to outline the French tip are uneven and smudged, and don’t even follow the outline of the French tip in some spots. Overall just very not worth the $75 charge that this was plus tip.
The nail techs all cut you. This week, a tech named Tracey cut my finger open, it started gushing blood and she did not say a word just dabbed it with a towel and kept going. I was stunned and emailed the salon. My finger is swollen now and in pain. I cannot say this is my first time getting cut here. This is not professional or a safe place to get your nails done.
I love this nail salon. They have a lot of chairs, and pretty much always take walk in's. It’s very clean and tidy. The salon is light and airy too, and they offer a drink service. I go to the salon all the time and I highly recommend it.
Just like with everything in life though there are some things they could work on. First, why “can’t” they take tips from your card? More like “won’t”. Like many nail salons they have an ATM right there for you to use. I would tip more if they took electronic tips like pretty much every other service Industry.
They offer booking online, but don’t have a description of the services (what each package includes) online, and when you come in they try to get you to upgrade so it doesn’t seem to matter what you pick online when you book. When you come into the salon, they ask if you have a reservation, then want your name, but then they make you sign in on an automatic Kiosk. What’s the point of the kiosk if they ask and check for your reservation anyway? When you sign in at the kiosk, you have to Select what service you’re having done. Then when you go to your nail technician they ask which package you selected for your manicure or pedicure. So if you book online by the time, you actually get seated in a chair, you’ve had to say what service you’re having done four times. it seems like they’re trying to use some nicer technology, but it’s not very streamlined and could be more efficient.
Whenever you call the salon, it goes straight to voicemail. So you’re forced to leave a voicemail and then they’ll call you back, but I’ve called the salon in the past year 3 times and never get a call back.
With all this being said it’s still a great salon and you should definitely give it a try! None of the nuances I listed negate the experience.
