Just had a delightful visit to Anthony’s food shop! I don’t go often, but every time I do, it’s a treat. Today’s petite four was perfectly sweet and chocolaty - just what I needed. Loved it!
This is now an automatic stop on our way to/from Maine and out-of-state family. I dont have enough good things to say- gas and quick convenience items if you need, but coupled with a full gourmet level deli/bakery and coffee shop. Eat-in or take-out. Food exceptional. Staff friendly. Prices both reasonable and affordable. Will be back.
Will definitely return any time I'm in the area! We ordered a sub and chicken fingers with fries. Price was reasonable and was prepared fast considering how busy they were. Everything tasted amazing! We even got dessert to-go and a pre-made meal to take home for later. There is a little dining room you can eat in, but we chose the picnic tables outside.
Friend tipped me off to this place! I didn’t have time to go on way to hotel but was sure to miss going on way home. Lots of coffee drinks, bakery items. Pizza by the slice. Will be going back for some prepared foods for next trip up to Maine. The desserts were decadent and delicious. Hidden gem.
We used Anthony's for the desserts and cake for our wedding in September. Everything was delicious! Tammy was a pleasure to work with and made sure everything was delivered on time for our big day. Our guests loved the big dessert display!
Frequent trips to Ogunquit Maine in the summertime so have driven by this non descript business many times. This weekend we were staying at a nearby hotel in York and perused Google for ideas of restaurants near us for the next day. Anthony's popped up and the photos of menu items all looked delicious- sandwiches, pizza, entrees and baked goods. Maybe we were still hungry from a less than satisfying late lunch but we made a plan to stop in at Anthony's the next morning. We were torn between what to get for a sweet treat (breakfast item or dessert...??????) We settled on a cinnamon bun and a toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, as well as 2 medium coffees. The bagel had ample seeds over the entire bagel, top and bottom; it was yummy as was the cinnamon bun. We enjoyed the coffee with our baked goods. Having seen the assortment firsthand, we made a plan to stop on our way back for a late lunch and to satisfy our sweet tooth. We stopped in close to 3pm and it was busier than the morning, but still quite quick with the orders. I had the Turkey terrific panini and my husband had a (small) steak tip royale. Both were fantastic and the small sub was a very good size for small. I took 1/2 my panini home because I was planning on giving in to my sweet tooth. We ordered a cream horn and a cannoli to make the trip home to MA but each was quickly devoured shortly after. We had to show great restraint on purchasing these sweet treats because EVERYTHING looked so delicious... tiramisu, whoopie pies, cupcakes, cheesecake slices, mini pies, chocolate/peanut butter squares, etc. Definitely thinking our next summer trips to ME are going to include a stop here just to experience some of their other extensive offerings.
Best carrot cake I've ever had in my life. By a longshot. Did not see that coming when just stopping for gas and passing through. Also picked up a bag of coffee which was S tier. If I'm ever up this way again, I will be stopping here for certain.
While it first appears to mainly be a gas station, it is WAY BEYOND, just gas! As soon as you walk through the door, you will find a feast of excellently prepared food, from specialty sandwiches, salads, freshly prepared pizzas, and an amazing variety of baked goods. There is also a wonderful coffee bar with more baked goods and breakfast items. It is a very popular place where you will find an awesome staff ready to take your order, and others are busy behind the counter preparing all this delicious food. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and quantity of their offerings. If you have never been, do yourself a favor and go! Lots of parking, but at busy times, it can seem full, but the quick turnover means spaces open up frequently. Handicapped parking and wheelchair accessable.
