I wish Anthony's was closer to where I live. There's one 3 hours to the north and south of me so while working in Bend i had to go there for dinner. I had 3 items off the happy hour menu and the mussels i ordered kept getting delayed so my server Althea and a manager kept coming over to apologize for the delay for which I said each time it's worth the wait and they were very good when they finally arrived at my table. Great service and food every time I go to Anthony's which is not often enough.
Nothing quite beats the outdoor seating here along the river especially if theirs a good concert playing where you can steal a listen while enjoying your meal. Service is excellent. Some very kind people on the payroll and of course the food is top notch. There hasn’t been a dish that we haven’t been overly impressed with. It’s worth it to treat yourself, so why wait? I suggest a reservation. Come and enjoy an amazing meal.
The service was amazing. Our waiter was informative and helpful and very understanding and receptive when we complained about the AWFUL Hawaiian Nachos. We ordered the seafood tower and the nachos were the most disgusting thing I've tasted in a long long time. The cracker they sit on is bland, stale and flavorless and the ahi tasted as though it had been frozen, defrosted, frozen and defrosted again. So mushy and the flavor and texture of the dish was a total assault on my taste buds. The Crispy Coconut Prawns were delightful. 10/10 recommend those. The ginger-plum sauce really saved the whole meal because I asked for extra and poured it on everything. The Calamari was alright, kind of chewy, the lemon aioli was like straight mayonnaise, so plum sauce saved the day there. We got the Crab Cakes to share and the green beans were slightly undercooked. The rice pilaf and the crab cakes were delish, once smothered in the plum sauce. The Cucumber Cooler cocktail I got was delicious, but my date's $13/glass red wine was totally mid. You're really mostly paying for the view and the cozy atmosphere here. We sat in the atrium and caught the sunset which was great. This is definitely more of a vibe for retirees though. I definitely won't be back for dinner, but I would come back for happy hour and more coconut prawns. Glad to say I tried it though!
We were there on 3 July and had the sunset dinner option. It’s a fairly good deal with good options. I hadthe sirloin steak and it was awesome and my wife had the sole. Dessert was delicious. We sat outside along the river.
5-11-24 visit: Just had to add that the clam chowder is still sublime! Been eating it at Anthony's all over the Pacific Northwest for years. It's Amazing. I tried their Cob Salad for the first time and Even though it isn't your typical Cob Salad, it was terrific. The kinda lime vinaigrette(? not sure) dressing was awesome - flavorful but not overpowering and a great complement to all the ingredients including the non-traditional mini-shrimp.
Very small serving sizes...I ordered the surf n turf top sirloin it only came with three shrimp! For $42, this was an absolute rip off
Service wasn't great, it took 15 minutes for our order to get taken and another 15 for drinks. Our entrees didn't arrive to the table until an hour ten minutes after we arrived. Our water wasn't refilled once.
This was disappointing.
After we were done (and it was obvious) our server walked past our table many times, not even making eye contact. We had to get up and ask for our bill.
Overall not impressed. Restaurant is upscale casual, but maybe they should seat less people if this is the kind of service that can be expected. We won't be returning. Photo shown is my entree before I even took a bite**
Updated rating... Not sure what made me give a lower rating before but this time visiting had a excellent meal. The halibut fish and chips was very well executed. Perfect crisp and good tartar.
This place was absolutely amazing! The waitress Bailey here was so friendly and amazing to work with my girlfriend and I. I got the surf and turf Steak and Crab which was sooo good! The steak sauce they had put on made the steak taste really amazing! My girlfriend got the Dungeness crab fettuccine which she loved!! There was so much crab in her pasta which was so great since most places aren’t always so generous. We also got the coconut shrimp for an appetizer and the sweet chili sauce was a great combo. My girlfriend’s drink was absolutely amazing! She got the pear martini. The ambience here is ascetically pleasing! Since the service was so incredible I would highly recommend coming to this place!
