Ordered Anthony Franco's yesterday. This place had delicious Jersey pizza at one point, but this is the second time in a row that our pizza had WAY too much crust. Like a very strange amount of crust. All of the cheese was right in the middle and too thick. No flavor. I don't know what's going on there, but this is just not the correct way to make a pizza.
I'm just disappointed with this location. Ordered 2 slices and a cheesesteak. The pizza was good, but the cheesesteak was probably the worst I ever ate anywhere in the state. It was definitely not made with love, and the bread was just stale. Nothing was good about it. I hope other locations don't taste this bad I will go try another location to see.
I’ve been a coming to Anthony Francos for 30 years give or take, and they have always delivered exceptional quality and service. Whether at the Butler or Lincoln Park locations the experience is consistently fantastic. The food is always fresh, delicious, and made with care!!!!
Whether it’s their pizza, pasta, or fresh (my favorite chicken and add the shrimp) Cesar salads, I'm never disappointed. The staff is friendly, attentive, and truly goes the extra mile.
Ive tried many pizzerias over the years since I'm always on the road. But Anthony Francos stands out for their consistency and commitment to quality across all locations. Its clear they take pride in what they do n it shows.
I highly recommend them to anyone who appreciates great food and excellent service. You won’t be disappointed! This place is a true gem with people that know their business and do it well. Hats off to 30 more!!
I was there on a Saturday evening, around 7. It was busy, naturally. I needed the restroom (it was a male/female one), and it was a mess. I had to throw paper towels on the floor to wipe around the toilet (with my foot). Ordering was easy, even though the place was kind of chaotic.
My slice was great, tomato, basil, and garlic. Yum. It would've been nice if someone wiped our table before we ate, but I know lots of restaurants are short-staffed lately. Great pizza, not a great place to eat in. Plenty of folks in and out, doing takeout.
Horrible. The cutlets were pounded so thin you couldn't taste them. They were burnt. The phone attendant was antagonistic.Sunday April 2nd 2023. Not the same food as before and at almost twice the price. Was a patron for 20 years.
Had a margarita slice and a shrimp alfredo slice. The margarita had a crispy crust and bold flavors. The shrimp was kind of soggy. Both required several napkins to sop up the grease. $10.75 for that and a can of soda.
My fiance and I have been ordering from here for 3 years when I first moved into the area and he would visit. The food was always delicious, the service quick and always really friendly. Even if they forgot something, or something came not to our liking, they would immediately fix it. But this almost never happened.
Now-a-days, we order from there 1-2 times a week. Especially during the pandemic, trying to help small businesses.
But within the last 2 months (September, October 2021) this place has gone SO downhill so fast. I kept seeing posts on Facebook about it and complaints in general but never paid any mind until now.
The pizza is constantly cold. We kept chalking it up to them being really busy but even when we could say something, it would never be fixed. Most often then not, the cheese comes halfway off the pizza. Garlic knots, old and cold and hardly able to be bitten through. Yesterday, we ordered garlic bread for us and some friends along with a pizza and fries. We ASKED for the marinara. Not only did it not come, but when my fiance called a young woman argued with him that "it doesn't come with it", he replied that's why he specifically asked (again, been ordering for 3 years from this pizzaria) she goes "well we didn't charge you for it?" annoyed that we even called. I was so beyond irritated. After years of being loyal even when they clearly were having trouble this is the way we've been treated. I'm a small business myself, and post-pandemic or not, I would never treat a loyal customer like this. A simple "oh, I'm sorry, we'll bring it now" or "I'm sorry, we were really busy tonight. Is it urgent?" even would have been better! We are totally understandable people. We're also not sticklers- hell if it's edible we're fine. But after last night's tone with the front counter girl. We're done.
There are so many local pizza shops in the area that are just as good. If you're looking for pizza without attitude, seriously- go elsewhere.
I ordered fettuccine Alfredo with fresh spinach. The best I've ever eaten and a chicken parm with Vodka sauce.Another outstanding dish never disappointed with any food. From this place they are the best
