This place was the best Italian after my grandma . May her soul rest in peace . The fired ravioli was so good and the fresh mozzarella sticks and sauce were amazing . The pizza is enough for 3 easily with all the toppings . Must go
We have been here twice now. Not sure why the ratings here are so high. Service is fine, but food is very average and for the price extremely mediocre. The bread with olive oil and the toasted raviolis are good. The pizza, salads and main dishes have been disappointing.
A great place for some Italian food on The Hill in St Louis. The restaurant has plenty of seating and is very large. The service was excellent and food prompt. They have daily specials which we included in our meal and wow was it good. The best cook filet mignon medallions I’ve ever had.
The toasted ravioli met expectations, and I recommend having that if you're visiting. The marinara sauce that accompanied the ravioli was even better.
The lasagna, pesto cheese ravioli, and chicken pesto were all fine, but coming back, I would try something else. The meatball sandwich had large meatballs but inconsistent cheese throughout (a lot of cheese on one side and not much on the other), and the bread was not toasted well.
The olive oil that accompanied the bread was not very good.
We visited on a Monday and got there around 1pm. There was no wait even though there were a lot of people eating lunch already. We had the toasted ravioli for an appetizer (my daughter liked the marinara dipping sauce), and we shared the gyro pizza - it’s enough for 3 adults. (It’s very heavy & filling!!!) The table bread & seasoned olive oil is amazing! We decided on the cannoli for dessert - it is the BEST I’ve ever had. YUM!
One of the Diner, Drive-in and Dive featured restaurants in St. Louis. It did not disappoint. We made an early dinner reservation and were seated right away when we arrived. Our first order of food, calamari, arrived quickly after we ordered and it was so good. We enjoyed our meal and had a lovely conversation with our waitress.
Restaurant is located in a very Italian part of town, We were lucky enough to find parking right in front of the restaurant that made things really easy.
Food and atmosphere 100%. Service could have been a hair faster. Ravioli, salad, salmon, olive oil based pizza, tiramisu and gelato were the items we ordered. All the food had a ton of flavor, but the gelato was out of this world good, if you go there, you have to get the pistachio gelato, highly recommended!!
