We just moved a couple miles away from this restaurant and I was looking forward to trying it. Sadly, our experience today was so blah that we won’t be coming back, espescially with so many other options in the area.
We were here a bit after noon and it wasn’t that busy. Service was friendly but not efficient. I ordered beignets and potatoes with cheese on them as I was going to have some of my husbands eggs and sausage.
He said the coffee is really good, but was frustrated he had to wait a while between refills. He got eggs, biscuit, grits and chicken sausage. All the food came at once and it varied in temperatures. His dish was lukewarm, the potatoes were too hot to touch and the beignets were warm.
all of his food was good and solid option, just not that good due to the temperature.
the potatoes that were still way too hot a few minutes later were awful. they had obviously been microwaved or way over cooked somehow and they were hard and greasy at the same time. potatoes anywhere are often a favorite…. I would never recommend these.
The beignets were not good. they were warm upon arrival and fairly soft. after leaving them for a bit and coming back several minutes later and they were hard. like hard to break apart. Like a biscuit that had been microwaved and not eaten right away.
again, I don’t know if they use or even have microwaves but that is what it was like. I didn’t even bother taking leftovers home as they were so hard and not good….
I am just so very disappointed. I had built this place up in my head for some reason.
There sausages are great. A nice edition of the broken egg cafe. Having been to some down south I had high expectations and they were met. The food was good the service was nice. We went fairly early and it was not too busy which was nice. Definitely would recommend
Enjoyed a fancy brunch. Crab Cakes Benedict is great. Generous portion of crab. They will make the eggs scrambled or over easy instead of poached.
Service is friendly and we didn't have to ask for refills.
Atmosphere...Very loud crowd noise and uncomfortably cold. The ac was blowing straight down on us the entire time. I actually went outside to warm up. Restaurant workers don't notice bc they're in and out of the grill...moving all the time not sitting in a pre-chilled chair.
EXCELLENT customer service. ???????? Everything we ordered was good. I wish I had one of these restaurants in my home town. I would definitely be back to try all the different items. Will come again next time I'm in Cincinnati.
Best place to go for breakfast and / or brunch. Food is delicious. This place gets packed and is worth the wait. Omelets are on point, and I suggest getting the country potatoes loaded, so good! Definitely recommend the Irish coffee and apple mimosas. They were Aaaahhhh-mazing!!
The atmosphere was good. Our server came around just enough. The food was very bland. The table next to us said the same thing. The drinks were really good. To be honest this is not a place I will be trying again. The food didn't hit my palate well. It was very basic. The grits were non flavorful and crunchy.
My family and I ordered the traditional ENT and also the huevos rancheros and it was definitely delicious. Our server was Daisy and she was very professional. She made sure we had coffee at all times and made sure to put in our order correctly. We greatly appreciate the service that we got here and the food was an added bonus.
I literally was excited to have this amazing food experience with my staff we spent about 110 dollars for a pick up order. The person who greeted us DID NOT GREET US OR HELP she was on her phone and pointed to where our food was. We asked for a drink carrier we had 3 drinks she sighed grabbed the carrier slammed it down and walked away from us. The person who packed the food packed the shrimp and grits upside down and because of the cheap quality of their carry out containers it poured out all over the other 5 containers and in the bag. I tried calling to speak to a manager I pressed every prompt to get a live person and every voicemail said it was full and I could not leave a message. We heard amazing things about the food and was extremely excited but the experience has left a horrible taste in our mouth and 1 breakfast was wasted and I have no way of reaching a live person . So I will say first experiences you can't get a do over and this experience was horrible . I wish I could give a half a star
