Courtney was the highlight of our brunch, serving us our delicious food with a warm smile and a bright spirit. I had my favorite hash brown Benedict and my husband enjoyed the Blackstone Benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly. I had mine with the regular grits which were light with a hint of buttery flavor and I made them extra special with a swirl of their blackberry preserves. My husbands home fries were crispy and nicely seasoned. We have found that Another Broken Egg is a reliable choice for a quality fresh meal.
Nice quiet Wednesday morning breakfast. Service was super friendly and the restaurant was clean. I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and smiling faces so early. Not overly intrusive but just enough engagement for the morning.
The food was good. It's breakfast and what to be expected. The mimosas were tasty and refreshing.
I would definitely stop again if ever in the area.
I cane for breakfast on a Monday morning. Super friendly staff. Lots of brunch items. I had a season Lobster Hash Benedict with grits. It was good, but nothing to go crazy about. I’d do one of their staples if I went back.
Good place to eat at and start your day off at. Fast service great food fresh and cook to perfection.
Good afternoon, this was my first time in your cafe and will be my last time there! I have never been so disappointed with the food I was served!! I ordered the indulgences Buttermilk Pancakes with two Sunnyside up eggs and bacon and coffee with milk instead of cream. First, I can't believe it made it out of the kitchen, but the waitress actually served it to me. Let's start with the coffee at $3.99 was brought out to me black, I had to ask for the milk again and was never offered a refill. Next come the pancakes not a drop of butter on them, very dry as if they were reheated and full of black scrapings from a dirty grill and then I had to ask for butter. now the bacon was crisp as a piece of plywood as if it was kept on the grill under a heavy metal press for hours or reheated several times, it actually crumbled just trying to pick it up. finally, the Sunnyside up eggs look like they were cracked and put on my plate without touching a grill. Yes, I have a picture of them, barely any white part of the egg, yellow yolk part that wouldn't allow me to dip my pancake in and very, very much of the clear egg white not cooked!!!!! Why didn't I send it back? would you trust what you would get returned from the cook after complaining? Nope! I paid the bill and left for good! Order # 9697304 on 9/5/24 at 10:32 a.m., $19.11. I will wait for your reply before posting this as a review on your site, along with forwarding it to corporate and the Local Board of Health.
I won’t be coming back! The waitress was very nice—cute tall curly redhead who was very friendly, helpful except she noticed one of my eggs was raw but still served it and the food was cold!! Her name is Grace. I ordered the Eggs blackstone Benedict and subbed the bacon for spinach since I don’t eat bacon. I sent the hash brown potatoes back cause they tasted bad besides being cold & soggy!!! It was really hard to eat stone cold food including my English muffin. The strange thing is—it was early and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant so they didn’t have enough customers for me to eat cold food! But my husband liked his veggie omelet except the spinach that was off to the side of the omelet although they put some inside by request instead of mushrooms. Then I tried to eat my 2nd egg & couldn’t when I saw that it was raw. I showed the waitress and told her that I didn’t order it but I got a side of jellyfish!!! She showed it to the chef but only took off a couple of dollars for all the mistakes! The beignets were delish! And free with an entree order! I hate to post bad reviews but this place deserved a bad review! This Restuarant has the potential to being an excellent Restuarant but they need to up their game & get a better chef & need to make sure the food gets to the customer before it turns completely cold. I forgot to mention the grits were warm because she brought them later when I refused the potatoes!
First time here. An awesome place for a delicious meal. Enjoyed the food, atmosphere and staff! Convenient location. Close to the water. Recommend this Cafe anytime. Be sure to buy a mug too!
I had the Mediterranean Omlette, and omg it did not disappoint! It actually inspired me to want to go home and make it myself. When you go to the E Gregory St. Broken Egg Cafe, request Jenny! Her service is stellar and you will not be disappointed!!
