Best WLM Reviews
Went expecting to get blueberry pancakes ???? but didn't see it on the menu. However, the Bourbon Street pancakes with bananas, pecans & butter rum sauce ???? is a hit! I paired it with andouolle sausage & eggs & bottomless coffee. Service was great & my coffee mug was never empty.
Very good breakfast place. I’d highly recommend getting the:
* Biscuits!
* some seasonal selection
The biscuit was honestly one of my favorite breakfast biscuits that i have ever had (i am not just saying this) it was definitely made from scratch & baked perfectly & buttery like a southern style. There were many other good things there such as classic dishes with a twist. I had the tiramisu french toast which was good kinda dessert style french toast. They also have some grits they call “city grits” which were interesting slight variation on the classic grits with more ingredients. The bloody mary had a nice presentation served with celery & a stick of bacon. The bacon was great & cooked like a medium flat style. There is plenty of seating with outdoors available. I’d highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast or brunch.
An okay experience. Food came out of the kitchen cold. Service was good. Our server was new, but friendly. He was still learning the job so he did ask others / manager questions to get us answers about the menu.
Almost empty on a Monday am.
Thinking there would be great service. Waited for 5 mins to be seated without any greeting.
Waited 10 min for a drink order.
Ordered the lobster hash, a seasonal dish. It’s balls of hash browns with ham with egg benny over top with a hollandaise sauce and chopped lobster and truffle flavored mushrooms on the side.
Came out fairly quick.
Was well done. Hash browns burnt which over powered any other flavor. Eggs well done so was like a hard boiled egg on top. Mushrooms were cold.
Waitress never asked me how the food was even when she brought me the check.
Poor service and disappointing food.
Went for a late breakfast 6/26. Place was empty, a few customers and no employees out working. From sitting to food on the table was 50 minutes and no one else came in after us it was just us. I got one refill on my coffee. My fried egg was raw. The scrambled eggs in the picture are an insane color. I told the waitress it was gross and she said well we can make you scrambled eggs with real eggs. It's powdered egg and it's disgusting. We put syrup all over our stuff before realizing it tasted nothing like syrup and was really gross tasting. I was being really patient and we got syrup in packs and it was fine. We finished our meal and the restaurant was abandoned. No one had been in the front of the restaurant for ten minutes I walked around the dining room waving my card in the air trying to get someone's attention and nothing. I put $30 cash on the table which was $30 too much for what I got and I left and someone had the audacity to try to chase me down in the parking lot. Oh you see me now? How did I get out and drive away before anyone noticed? I'm going to write a complaint to corporate this was beyond a bad experience. Everybody in there that day needs to be talked to about what they were so busy doing.
This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. We were dropped off at 12:32p and didn’t receive food until around 1:40pm. Our server was not intuitive. We had to ask for EVERYTHING: water refills, napkins…we were handed a silverware roll with a dirty napkin …we didn’t even receive our beignets until I had to ask for them. How is that okay?
Then, after waiting for over an hour for food, I was given brown lettuce on my sandwich and all of the condiments were missing. Didn’t even eat it. I’d never serve anything like that in my house much less an establishment. Why was I expected to eat that? Riddle me that. Would you fix that for yourself? Will never visit again. This place needs a culture refresh. I wasn’t even greeted upon arrival or given a farewell as I departed.
If you’re looking for a brunch spot with friendly faces and a comfortable vibe, Another Broken Egg Cafe in Boca Raton might be worth checking out—but with tempered expectations on the food.
The service here is fantastic. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home, greeting us warmly and even sharing a few menu recommendations. Our server went above and beyond, refilling our coffee like clockwork, checking in just enough without being overbearing, and making sure everything was to our liking. You could tell she really cared, which added a personal touch to the experience.
As for the atmosphere, the cafe has a comfortable, inviting setup that’s easy to relax in. It’s bright and airy with a nice blend of rustic and modern decor, a bit like the place you’d imagine for a weekend brunch with family or friends. It’s busy but not chaotic, with just enough buzz to make it feel lively without being too loud. We found ourselves taking our time and enjoying the setting, which doesn’t happen everywhere.
Now, the food. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite match up to the charm of the people and the space. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles, which sounded amazing on the menu but was just okay in execution. The chicken was a bit bland but the waffle was very good! My friend got the Cinnamon Roll French Toast, which looked impressive but turned out to be more style than substance. It was dense and a little dry, missing that rich, melt-in-your-mouth flavor you’d hope for in a French toast dish. It wasn’t bad, just… average. Not memorable, and given the prices, we hoped for more.
That being said, the coffee was solid, and they do have a few unique options on the menu that might be worth trying if you’re adventurous. For instance, they have a Lobster and Brie Omelette, which we didn’t try but sounds intriguing. Maybe next time, I’ll give that a go and see if it changes my mind.
All in all, Another Broken Egg Cafe has a lot going for it in terms of service and ambiance, but if you’re coming for the food alone, you might leave feeling a little underwhelmed. It’s the kind of place I’d go back to mainly for the people and the relaxing environment—and maybe to try that Lobster and Brie Omelette, just in case I missed a hidden gem. If you’re nearby and want a pleasant brunch outing, this place is worth a visit; just keep your culinary expectations realistic, and you might leave as content with your experience as we did.
The food was pleaseantly a surprise that I wasn't expecting. For our visit I was expecting just another breakfast joint to grab a quick egg and a warm cup of coffee but this restauarnt turned out to be more than that. From the food they offered to the taste of the food, it was much better than anything I've found so far in south Florida. The homemade Biscuit Beignets were piping hot and the honey marmalade was a great accompaniment. My wife had the Shrimp N City grits Benedict and we both marveled at how well the egg was cooked and the shrimp patty was well seasoned. For me I started to choose something normal/usual and call it a day since my expectations were low but I decided to test their creative menu so I eneded up getting the Cinnamon Roll French Toast with the homemade sausage patty. The french toast was excellent and had fresh fruit piled on top of the whip cream and the homemade sausage pattywas exactly what I was hoping for and it did not disappoint. Our waiterss Carla was very nice and attentive to our needs.The only thing that prevents this review from getting perfect stars is the the cleaniness of the restaurant and that sounds bad but it wasn't a dirty dinning situation. I commented to my wife that the restaurant could use a deep cleaning with a lot of dusting. For example the ceiling fan was covered in dust, pictures on the wall had dust and a lot of unused surafces had dust. Nothing a good overnight crew couldn't handle.
