My family went to another restaurant for brunch, but there was a wait to be seated. While we were waiting, I asked someone if there was another good restaurant anywhere nearby where we could get breakfast or lunch. Another Broken Egg was recommended. We'd never heard of it, but the man said he's eaten there many times and highly recommended them. There was no wait when we got there around 12:45pm on a Saturday. There was a bar inside with several people sitting there. We were shown to a booth. Our waitress was awesome. I wish I could remember her name. But she was very friendly, very knowledgeable of the food selections, and served us quickly. The food came out quickly and was excellent. My husband ordered the seafood gumbo. He's very picky about gumbo but liked theirs. I ordered a basic breakfast of eggs, bacon, and buttermilk pancakes. My breakfast was perfect. My son ordered the chicken and waffles and raved about it. We also ordered the biscuit beignets. They were hot and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. They aren't the traditional New Orleans style beignets, but they are very good. I'm particular about sweet tea, and theirs was the best I've had other than the tea I make at home. The restaurant manager (Spencer) came by to greet the customers. He was friendly, and we appreciated his checking on us. My only complaint is that it was very quiet aside from the conversations at the bar. I felt like they should have had some music or a television on. Overall, our experience was excellent. We will definitely be eating there again.
Jesse is phenomenal and we just became his biggest fans!! He is so funny and kind and just has great energy. Super fast and great at multitasking. He even brought us out some biscuit beignets when our order was taking longer than he expected. Those were so delicious and warm. I ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes- if I got them again I’d ask for double the goat cheese. My man got the cookie dough waffle and he said it was a 10/10. Both were very dessert-like so make sure you’re in the mood for indulgence. ???? We sadly didn’t like our sausage and eggs. If you’re a true southern foodie, you will hate the sausage patties- I feel like only northerners will like how many herbs are packed into them. They weren’t cooked enough either. And the eggs tasted like bouncy hotel eggs. :( But other than that we will TOTALLY be back and we know what to order now. ????????????????????
This had to be the worse experience we have ever had the waitress had no business even being a waitress. Didn’t care about her tables. Didn’t care about doing good work till it was time for a tip. She would not write anything down and would forget what you bordered then come back and ask. It was one of the worse experiences at a dine in restraints I don’t even way to dine out anymore because of it. There is no more automatic service or care in the industry anymore and they wonder why they don’t get good tips.
This was my very first visit here and I have to say I am very pleased. We were seated as soon as we walked in. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing. The server was also very friendly and took care of our table with no issues. The only points I'd take away (from ranking on 1-10) are for the floors, which were very sticky through the restaurant and for the pricing. The food was very delicious. I had their chicken sandwhich, which was piled high with 3 chicken tenders, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and avocado. (I removed onions and ranch). Their bacon is actually amazing, in my opinion, and I'm not a fan of bacon, but there's is extra crispy and packed with flavor. I'd say give this place a definite try you will not regret it.
I have eaten at other locations before. This was by far the worst location. I was excited to see there was a location nearby, but I can honestly say I don’t think I’ll ever come back. Most of the staff seemed uninterested to be at work on a Sunday morning. Our server was nice, but never checked on us once we received our food, not until the bill came, red flag number 1. I wanted to let him know the food was not good and we wanted to ask for something else, but after waiting 15 minutes we decided to just eat. If you’ve ever had an eggs Benedict before, you know the hollandaise is supposed to be the hero of the show. The silky smooth and vibrant yellow sauce that brings the entire dish together. What we received looked like a sausage gravy and tasted like a thick sour cream. I scraped mine off, as did my wife. We knew immediately once we tasted it was not right. I waited until the bill and brought to the servers attention the hollandaise was not correct. He assured me that’s how it always comes out, red flag number 2. He said he’d let the manager know and came back and said okay I let the manager know and then offered no discount. Red flag number 3.
I don’t know exactly what it is they are doing to the hollandaise, but I suspect they are adding flour and a lemon concentrate. The server told me it is always white, who’s ever had white hollandaise before? Not me; and I don’t ever want to know at this hollandaise again. It was terrible.
Three strikes you’re out. I hope the owner does something about this. I’d never been to another broken egg cafe that did not have a wait to get in. Now I know why we were seated right away. We’ll be trying somewhere else next.
The meal's quality was satisfactory, though it could have been served at a higher temperature. The server provided adequate service, but I had to request a coffee refill after waiting several minutes with an empty cup.
The order took longer than anticipated to arrive. The speed of service was not up to my expectations.
I believe there is room for improvement in these areas.
This is the local another broken egg in Huntsville Alabama. I was there for a family event and we went. The day we went was a very busy Sunday but the service was very fast. We were quickly seated had our food quickly also even though they were very busy. The food was good as was the service. The atmosphere as with most another broken egg restaurants was a niche mix of southern and foreign looking art representation pieces. It was all quite enjoyable. Prices were acceptable and typical of a non fast food restaurant.
Absolutely fantastic!! Everything was great. Had the B&G and a virgin spicy bloody mary. Service was great. A little wait to sit and a little wait for food to be served but overall a great experience.
