Absolutely amazing, every single night you stay you are truly cared for. I haven't met a single rude employee and am quite fond of the front desk people, morning noon and night. We are greeted by the kind lady in the mornings and have fun chats with the nice gentlemen in the afternoon and night. I will always come back here, my wife and I definitely pick favorites and this hotel is our #1. The food and accomodations are also really nice, even having food allergies I feel included with the meals and I don't feel bad for voicing my needs ❤️
We stayed in the Sun Valley room, which is themed after a logged cabin. The room looked great and was very clean.. Location was great and front desk service was very nice. My only complaint was in the theme of our room , our bathroom was made to look like an old outhouse. It was basically a freestanding toilet in the middle of the room covered by a rickety outhouse structure where the wood beams had a good 2 inch gap in between them and there were actual holes in the wood where light was coming through. The door to this outhouse structure Would not even close properly…I feel like regardless of the theme of your room a toilet should have four solid walls with an exhaust fan. The exhaust fan that was in the room was over the Jacuzzi and did not work. Although the themes are creative and the rooms look great I feel they were overpriced. The breakfast that comes with the room was basically just a quiche and a small pastry with your choice of a very small orange juice or coffee. Not much of a selection in breakfast. Other than that, I would give our experience a four out of five stars and would possibly stay here again in the future.
We've stayed here at this location at least 5 times and this past time was a huge let down to what we've come to expect. For the price that I'm paying to stay here, the lack of the amenities that were initially there does not make the experience worth it. I know there hasn't been cheesecake automatically given for quite a few years, but the breakfast was by far the worst part of the stay. To cut down the options and quantity of food offered feels cheap and like a slap in the face. People come here to have a magical experience away from the stresses and demands of life to celebrate an important event, but the way that we were treated has taken away that magic.
I checked in before hand and had the remaining balance of my room charged to my credit card. When we arrived, they had the wrong card on file and the room hadn't been charged apparently.
We chose a pastry with egg bites and orange juice for breakfast (which is already a down grade from how the breakfast options used to be) but in the morning, we had only been given pastries and orange juice. No egg bites and no fruit bowl. We messaged asking about them and they stopped in within 10 minutes to bring the fruit bowls, but took an additional 30 minutes to bring us our egg bites. They also dont offer anything like toast or ketchup packets like they have in the past.
It feels pretty plain that they don't care about the magic or helping their guests celebrate a special occasion, its only about money now.
1. Their website is difficult to use. It’s hard to see if rooms are available.
2. When you pick a room and search for dates, the actual price of the room doesn’t show until check out. I selected the room I wanted (Romeo & Juliet) and the calendar was showing $209 a night until I selected the nights I wanted and hit book and the price jumped to $309 (I understand it’s a Diamond suite- the calendar should show the price from the get go!)
3. The final straw was I booked the room for two nights as a Christmas present for my daughter. A week later my daughter received a call saying there was an error and the room was only available one of the nights. Anniversary Inn was not willing to compensate in any way other than to switch them to a different room or a different day. That specific room was selected for a reason; they had already requested time off work and made arrangements to be out of town. I called customer service and the representative lied to me. She said that she had offered my daughter free retail items as compensation. When I asked what items she said a free dinner. (My daughter was never offered a meal.) When I asked why it took so long to call and inform us the room wasn’t available she said she had called on 12/3, 12/4, 12/18, and then finally talked to my daughter on 12/19. I asked if she left a message; she said she did every time. I didn’t even reserve the room until 12/12 and my daughter had NO voice messages left on her phone and she answered the phone call on 12/19. My daughter and her husband were so excited about their two night stay at Anniversary Inn as their Christmas present this year and their poor website and terrible customer service absolutely ruined their experience and we won’t be booking a room here again.
Room was nice. View from the third floor was beautiful. At midnight our room got smoked out with marijuana. Someone decided to light up near the air intake and flooded our room for an hour. Had the windows open to air the room out. Manager in the morning told us it was all in our heads because there was no one around the building. The Mrs got a headache from the stink. Saw other couple leave during that time when we were talking with the nightshift. The breakfast is horrible. In all the years we have been there this is the worst breakfast ever. The breakfast croissant was a third of a sandwich that had a sponge consistency. The cinnamon roll was also cut into thirds. Both were served room temp. Again, when we pointed this out to the manager, she told us they were "experimenting with new menu options." We won't be using this location again and as long as this management is running this location, I would advise others to avoid it as well.
We have been coming multiple times and this was by far the worst. We did the president suit and while the view was great and the room spacious it was slightly outdated and the tub had sticker coming off the bottom. We had someone smoking weed below us and it was super strong in the room even with the doors open. When we called the front desk the guy said he took care of it but this mornings check out person said there wasn't anyone smoking when they checked. We did get the amenities we paid for, though they were cheaply done. Breakfast is a complete disappointment and now where close to the nice one it use to be. It's literally a small sandwich and a third of a cinnamon roll. Won't be coming to this location again unless they go back to the old service and amenities that they use to have. It's a shame cause it was such a fun break for my hubby and I.
Here’s a revised and polished version of your feedback:
We have been visiting the Anniversary Inn for 15 years, but in the past year or so, under new ownership, some of the things we loved about the place have changed. Here are the key issues we’ve noticed:
1. Increased Rates Without Significant Improvements: While the rates have gone up, the only noticeable changes are a digital check-in system and texting. These do not justify the higher prices.
2. Decline in Breakfast Quality: The breakfast experience has significantly declined. Instead of receiving a card to choose our meal, there’s now a “recommended” option, and the food quality is far below what it used to be.
3. Coffee Service Changes: We used to enjoy carafes of coffee, but now they only provide single-serve cups.
4. Reduced Service Quality: Previously, if we requested an extra blanket, it was delivered to our room. Now, we’re expected to go to the front desk, where staff may not even be present when we arrive.
5. Gift Card Checkout Issues: I had a frustrating experience using gift cards we purchased under the “old system.” I had to wait over 25 minutes while the staff processed other customers—even those using gift cards without issue—only to be told the delay was due to my “old gift card.” There was no apology or ownership of the inconvenience caused.
6. Overpriced Vending Machines: Charging $5 for a single soda feels like price gouging.
We were eager to book our 16th year at the Anniversary Inn, but unfortunately, we’ve decided not to return. This place used to hold a special charm that set it apart from other hotels or bed-and-breakfasts. Please consider making changes to restore what made the Anniversary Inn so unique and memorable.
We have stayed at anniversary inn 6 or 7 times now. Our previous experiences have always been great and have always given 5 star ratings! This time I was looking at a few different rooms for our 26 year wedding anniversary. I settled on one based on the online description and pictures of the room. When we got to the room it was missing some key features that are mentioned in the description and are shown in the pictures. One of the really cool murals that is seen in the pictures has been painted over with black paint. There was 3 holes/tears in the carpet. There is a waterfall shower as part of the jacuzzi tub. It continuously leaks cold water if you have the water in the tub running. It also runs water down the edge of the tub and all over the floor. That water creates a huge potential for someone to slip and fall as it makes the tile super slippery. I do love the location and the service was great. But they might need to spend some time on maintenance issues and keep online room descriptions accurate! Also the food menu has changed and the food was just kind of blah. Our cups of orange juice were barely half full if that that.
