I got the fried lobster tail, catfish macaroni and cheese, cabbage & sweet potatoes. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. I would Definitely eat here again. No complaints.

Annie’s Soul Delicious is hands down one of my absolute favorite soul food spots in the Hollywood/Mid-City area of LA! I’ve not had better anywhere else. My go-to order is always the Hennessy wings, mac & cheese, and sweet potatoes, but I finally tried the catfish, oxtails, and short ribs, and they were all fabulous! Yesterday, I indulged in the Soul Rolls for the first time, and they did not disappoint! Do yourself a favor and visit Annie’s Soul Delicious soon—you won't regret it!
A total sodium bomb. I was really excited to try good soul food but it was not found at this location. I ordered delivery and couldn’t find any flavor past salt sadly. The rice and gravy would have been good if it weren’t half full of hard rice. The grits were a solid mass and the mac and cheese while cheesy was not very dreamy. Banana pudding was even sub par. The only good thing was the mini cornbread muffins. They were delish!
I found this restaurant on UberEats. To be honest glad I found it, Top shelf Soul Food. I tired so many Black owned restaurants while working in Los Angeles, and let me tell you. So far this is the ONLY ONE. that I watched my boyfriend eat without complaining about the Taste, and he’s a very picky eater. The collard greens ???? Mac and cheese Combo with the Candied yams. And the 6 piece fired chicken . SEASONING GAME was on POINT!, LORD whoever owns this may you BLESS them . I am not complaining about nothing that I ate I am happy I ordered their food and supported them .
We also Ordered the banana pudding and peach cobbler! Glad I did because baby, that was delicious had me dancing in the kitchen. I am very pleased with this restaurant, and will continue to order from them ! You guys should try it out while out here in Los Angeles!
I’ve never actually eaten at the place, but it has been my go-to delivery for over a month now. Everything I’ve tried has been great! My favorite are the SAUSAGE LINKS and the CHEESY GRITS. Eating from here feels like a warm hug:)
Are you in the mood for soul food? I know I am! Great restaurant that feels like home cooked meals. They welcome you as soon as you walk in. The food was very good, I ordered the fried chicken with the beef ribs and it comes with the honey dipping sauce A+++. Also braised short ribs with the ox tail yummy. The breaded cat fish was a hit also. To be honest everything was great. Definitely coming back to try other items on the menu. It’s not very cheap but not too expensive also, around $25 pp. give it a try.
Place:
It used to be a restraint but now it’s more of a pick up location. You order on a digital screen and pick up after receiving a text that your food is ready. It’s not too bad of a process.
Food:
Food is delicious and there’s so many menu options. The portions are so zed nicely, I had leftovers for the next day.
I had the oxtails. They were good, it’s a taste (seasoning) that I’m not used to but it was okay.
My mom had the smothered chicken and she said it was really good.
My boyfriend had the short ribs and he said it was sooo good he wants the recipe.
I would go back.
I was referred to this place by a coworker, and I was disappointed. The price of the food is not equivalent to the quantity. We ordered smothered chicken (gravy was too salty), baked bbq chicken ( too much bbq sauce; the sauce took away the taste of the meat), greens, braised cabbage, black-eyed peas, and yams. I did not care for the sides. The only tasty item was the yams. I also enjoyed the whipped butter that taste like candy to add to the miniature muffins. There is scarce street parking. Fast and friendly service this place is not for me.
